Legend of mir 3 was running alongside Legend of Mir 2, however I think Legend of mir was upgraded to Legend of mir 2 possibly before it was popular anywhere but Korea.
Some people liked the style of Legend of Mir 2, so much, that Legend of Mir 3 was not introduced as an upgrade but a different game entirely.

I remember seeing screenshots of legend of mir 1 many moons ago. It looked similar to Zelda on the gameboy graphics wise. I don't think it was anywhere near the same scale though.

so you guys obviously never watched game network back in the day... soma and mir were both featured on it daily i believe.

i used to play mir1 it was awesome, didn't have wars or a good levelin system like this but it was beter than soma in a lot of ways. never ever played 2 or 3. I remember at first before an update you had to run everywhere there was no teleports to different locations, it could be like a 2hour run an you had no ingame map lol it was awesome tho wud take like 24hrs solid lvlin at lvl 30 for 1 lvl. it had a lvl 50 cap no1 ever reached it after say 4+ yrs
