Just to clarify, with PK turned off, what are the rules on luring mobs onto people to have them kill the player you want to PK? granted you can run away etc, bot really the point though.

I think this is illegal, it's written in the rules somewhere I'm sure?

Is this the point where I say 'stop PKing to the point it's hurting the usercount'?

We remove PK mode for a reason. We realise this gets abused too, but as said this can be classed as abuse. it's up to you whether or not you report it.

Both PK and non-PK have downsides. But sometimes Soma needs to cool down a little. There's no harm in having a peaceful Christmas. :)

As I've mentioned a few times, can't we introduce a PK system that prevents a user bring griefed? it wouldn't be that hard to come up with a system that can both prevent a user from having to hide in town to avoid being griefed or being able to mob lure at all or for very long without being pked shortly after.

Something like a cool down timer on a person being able to be killed more than once every 30-60 minutes by an individual? The person also can't hit the same person they were killed by for the same period of time.

With the ability to turn off individuals pk mode surley there is no need for server wide pk removal? It does as much harm as good.

No that's bullshit, if you have someone who is devil moral and 29 levels higher than the person they are attacking, plus maybe a sad act who is willing to stalk them for 12 hours a day, just to keep their opposition from enjoying the game/becoming more powerful, it's going to make the other person quit...and there seems to be plenty of people who play soma willing to do this...it's been a problem ever since Esoma and I think addressing it would help raise UC in the long run.

p.s. yes I'm aware you can take videos/screenshots of this and send it in to the GMs but some people just can't be bothered with the hassel of that, and I don't see why either the GMs or the player on the receiving end of this should have to.

No its not bullshit because going deep devil/Angel has no consequence. If Hw were not easily available and it took a month of leveling to get out of devil/angel and pots n repairs were hard to come by this problem would all but disappear

So you essentially agree there is a problem with this? perhaps there is more than one way to solve it.

Indeed. I've spoken a number of times on the issue and personally favour a return to ESoma's pre-gypsy village method of dealing with PK'ing. I agree with Ghostlord's sentiments regarding a "peaceful Christmas" but can it really be that we're playing a game where the usercount is primarily, if not totally over the age of 16 and the GMs are effectively babysitting us by having to step in every now and then to turn off PK mode so as to give us cool down time?

Could you not adjust the system to be per player?

Making it so people can turn on and off PK as they please for their individual character. I suppose it is similar to the lvl 15 restriction system.

I can see that also being abused some how, but those who 'opt out' of PK can't attend GVW or any other similar events, they just get teleported back to town (to prevent door blocking etc). Those who leave PK mode on can perhaps get a slight boost to regeneration rates for HP/MP (or something) to compensate them for having the balls to risk being killed?

Food for thought.
Hopefully gives you something to use towards a better idea.

I like the idea of being able to turn off PK, so I don't get attacked/ cannot be attacked, I have never been a fan of PK, maybe having it only open to people over a certain level who can only attack people over that level also.

I have put a lot of effort and time into items etc with upgrades and combining it sucks that I have to risk losing them or be penalised and grieved.
