Is there a way of getting notifications on the forum?

The amount of things I bid on or comment on in the forum and then forget ( don't know if anyone else has this problem?)

So many people just put 'selling' on the thread and then I have to search through them all to find which one I commented on.

Maybe get a notification or an inbox on your website profile.

Eg:

>manage account
> 0 private messages
>6 thread notifications
>my guild
> my items

And so on

+1 sounds like a good idea to me, don't need to keep searching for the thread you have created or post on

Stealing ghost reply, different idea for the fourms, a good idea and would be a welcome addition

"GHOSTLORD" It all depends on the time it takes for Sylver or Finito to determine its worth.

Yeh, see thread below this. I asked if there could be a lifespan on posts or a decent filtering system. Could search for specific user, or item to check it's current worth

This is the main reason I don't reply to every good idea. The answer from my side is mostly the same. Finito and Sylver are the guys with the magic. :D

However, since people like blue posts, I do try to post where it's helpful.

True we love blue posts but also, you are the "dsoma expert" i love the feedback/updates we get but also think some ideas/suggestions are getting ignorred/overlooked. Im not trying to be offensive but just a bit worried about dsoma atm.

Last time I liked and replied to something was with DSoma restock. As a result it took longer than I had hoped because Finito was busy with other things. Of course I love to give you guys some feedback and I will. However, I won't frequently tell what is being worked on simply because this creates expectations that could go unanswered for a longer period of time.

I also believe it's better to discuss a lot of things internally first so we have a stance as a team rather than me as an individual. I hope this makes sense.

Thanks for your concerms.

In response to the original post, good idea I like it and will add it as a website feature task but I do not know when will get around to adding it though.

"FLICKTHEBEAN"Along with the, the ability to close a thread after it's had its use, in the emporium for example.

Yeah I like this as well and will also add it as a website task. I know that another option would be to delete the thread but I think that keeping it around but closed for history purposes is better. We could maybe also push closed threads to the bottom so they don't show up as recent but are still there for viewing.

"VALASI"Yeh, see thread below this. I asked if there could be a lifespan on posts or a decent filtering system. Could search for specific user, or item to check it's current worth

A link to the thread would be useful because it has likely moved elsewhere now.

Most of the time they get overlooked and forgotten about. I do try to go through suggestion threads and have been keeping better track of the good ideas and posting more replies.

We do need a better system for filtering these threads though and being able to easily acknowledge an idea or mark it as a duplicate, rate, and link to the other thread it is a duplicate of. Such changes would hopefully make it so that the good ideas do not get overlooked and forgotten about and we have a better way to decide on what players want the most.

I do actually have a task "Add a way for players to rate ideas and suggestion threads" up in an idea section on my task list. Though that can obviously be expanded further. Website changes and tasks (especially new features) do tend to take a backseat though (game stuff will usually be done first).
