Regular spawn for BDW

The soul rings are a great idea but been talking to many players and they are all in the same situation i am in.

Have many souls we need for the rings apart from the BDW, I have seen this spawn twice in months and its in d4 which is a pain.

Can we have a regular spawn for this in vod or something so we can use some of these souls up that take up a load of room in the warehouse or change some of the rings for other souls.

Pretty sure it spawns every 65 hours with a 10% window swing on either side. If you haven't seen it spawn then it was (is?) already up.

It was camped for a long time and killed by the same player(s).

Dunno how you managed to get all the other souls ... I spent 6 months tracking spawns and haven't got enough souls to even trade for the simplest thing available.

Have a wander down to D4 and see if it is there?

Inwid say 90% of mine come from events i got like 8 troll sould and 10 gdg. So maybe spawn the hog on events as well?

Issue is, it doesn't spawn unless the door is opened. The door gets opened by someone keeping track of the spawns, usually, with only seconds to spare until the door closes. So you see the shouts, then time6 switches and theres no point heading down because you wont get in. Most inaccessable boss, as Grand Devil Guard was untill it was added to event spawning.

I see, so yes my point is even more valid can something be done about this boss please :)

Respawn time for BDW is roughly 58 hours and Grand Devil Guard 168 hours and they only spawn if boxes are opened and enter D4 (to force the box openning requirement).

Those extra bosses were added so that they might spawn inside D4 when you entered and can enter between Time 0-6. I can understand that wouldn't want to waste time going down there to open and then finding that no extra boss spawns and that therefore if you know roughly the spawn time can restrict access by waiting to the last seconds to enter.

Need to re-think how those extra bosses should spawn in.

They could spawn every time you can enter D4 but then that would be too common (though could adjust drop rates).

They could also spawn without boxes needing to be opened so that then might get the announcement earlier (there is a change that will come in new patch where bosses will get announced before they spawn instead of when they spawn though) but then currently a player can stay inside of D4 waiting for the spawn (it only forces out upon login though can change this).

Any suggestions?

Although this may be a bias opinion, as I cannot be bothered to keep track of boss timers, I just head to them if I see they have spawned, while in-game. Here's what I have;

I would suggest, although still having variable spawn timer and roughly the same spawn timer, force the spawn to only happen between time 18 and time 0 (with an announcement, e.g server knows it should have spawned at T13, or was ready to, but will hold it back untill designated time. Giving anyone plenty of time to be informed of it and get down there.

Would also work to have the announcement between time 18 and time 0 but the spawn only happening when the door opens. Although in practice, I believe that would be no different to first suggestion.

Dungeon auto-tp like the end of SS, moving you out of D4, to the D4 entrance on D3 at time 6 (when the door closes) could be an alternate suggestion, or an additional mechanic.

I would quite like the idea of it being a fixed 4hourly event, with the %-chance of the two extra bosses spawning when you spawn GDG with box opening, if it were any other game.

Soma, for lack of better wording, has low droprates to start with. Bosses are often dissapointing for drops and making them even lower on the bosses would make them 'almost' pointless to visit, even with a regular spawn.
They would need to be significantly 'nerfed' in order to stay as the same expected value for spawn timer / drops ratio as they currently are.

It would mean more often than not, leaving with no drop at all.

Alternative suggestion:

Add them to conti. This would leave the choice to do nothing to the dungeon bosses.
Although this would effectively bring double the quantities of goodies in-game, while conti is held by a race, as happened with the original 'soul bosses' being added to conti, so it'd be a judgement call.

Finito the easier fix requires no coding at all.

Simply spawn it at events. Most events in that have 3 GDG and a troll spawn, most whole map events have numerous soul bosses spawn. Yet I never see BDW.

It would be great if this could be made into a worth while timed event.
