(Dsoma) Is it worth getting more than 100 skill for upgrades?

After getting a +3 close to my first try I figured I'd be fine with 100 skill, but I've just broke 5 intense in a row going for +1

Bad luck? Or should I try and get a little higher skill?

Intheface got to 150+ which is the next increase and he said he didn't notice a difference in success rate, its pure luck but if you want upgraded gear be prepared to break a lot and you will eventually get your rewards
