Searched the forum from end to end – nothing. Thank you so much Gravija. It is absolutely fundamental to mage planning, mine especially. I’ve tested it on the TYT dummy, and it’s absolutely true (Bearing in mind my INT is only 169.8). Fireball Power 7, gives only 70 on the Dummy. Critically, Light sword (Power 22) seems to be the Mage’s choice, and has probably earned that place because at LVL 4 you can use it forever without having to pot. Now, we have to rethink that. Using the light sword on the dummy naked and without a staff, I get 203 every time. Using an Intense GTR with MA 16-22 one would expect that one in 8 hits would be at 219 and the rest would all be 220. And that is exactly what happens (well, I’d have to do millions, but you know what I mean). This changes everything for me, and could do so for others as well. I know I can take Magmas with the Sword (and could manage them at 150 INT). So why should I bother getting up to 176? (I’m not interested in PVP). I have a Rare Azure Eye staff, and that will be redundant when I get another 0.2 INT. Moving up to Iron Fist would be the obvious answer, but then we start carrying pots again. What a lovely dilemma!
