What would make you play again?

Hey a topic for my next podcast is going to be as above...

So for all those players who dont play anymore what wold it be that would make you play again?

Or even if you do play and you have anything to add to this let me know.

Increased drop rates across the board. With this being quite a niche game (It's not exactly fast paced), the user count will never be what it was in esoma days.
I'm not saying have tabs drop every mob, just need increases a little. This will keep the games economy alive as at the moment people aren't really trading.


I'd also like to see crafting speed increased, while i understand that people have spent a lot of time (myself included) getting enough to use special repair. I remember when i first game back to the game and just couldn't afford to buy them (luckily Jhon/Lyon/Lou is a top lad and regularly gives away for free). I'd like for it to be potentially so you could get to 100 skill in half the time. Maybe have it increased until say 110 skill (so you can wear crafter robes) then back to the speed we have now.

I agree, Drops need increasing - I killed around 400 mags the other night and the best i got was 1RDT and 1CT and i did this alone which took around 3.5hrs

Also about SR, I don't think its ridiculously hard to get 100 - But it does take a lot of time,effort and money. To which lower level chars won't be minted and many can't afford to buy the mats i'm sure it must be at least 5mill or more to get 100 skill ? Perhaps a quest that gives you a certain amount of copper and leather into your warehouse for lower levels? I'm not talking about 1k of each, more like 10k of each material.

The reason i say this is there are a few lower levels in my guilds that tell me they can't hunt because they have 1 upgraded bow and can't afford sr's so have had to lend out most me bows ;p or they are having to purchase repair tokens via donation store.

Also i +1 to disco's comment, Just look at nearly every thread thesedays getting blown up with 10 pages of people bashing each other. We're such a small community and i understand guild rivalry but when you have people that take it too far like death threats and such over a game its too much...

I also think drop rates on Hero 2 essences are too rare, And where they aren't much of an upgrade from Titus unless your rich people aren't bothering.

I also think GVW should be once a week.

This is just my opinions though.

There needs to be a serious look at d soma - it is just super monotonous grind all the way through. Same weapon, same aura on the same mob for 40+ levels with almost no drops and no prospect/point upgrading anything until 110.

Devils need greater variety of builds facilitated by increased drops & faster crafting to stimulate the economy. Make sure there are at least 3 mobs for every 10-20 level cachment that give similar xp but have varried drop profiles.

They also need their own version of hero quests and possibly something to balance RvR, as you previously suggested Matty, so that non-mage human players see a point in engaging. Whatever fix is used must account for UC disparity at events like WoW though.

Make dsoma mobs level based so people can't keep str down and speed level through nub mobs

I don't know about you, But after i spend a long hard day at work - The last thing i want is for some immature person acting 12 years old insulting or harassing me and causing drama on a "game."

This isn't pointed towards you carnage, i don't know you - But i know i'm not the only one that feels this way, Most people want to just play the game and have fun without toxicity.

I'm not really talking about those that mouth off who probably sit eating crayons, I love a good wind up but more on about people jumping on the forums complaining about being pked for example then when you check their feed to see they've only died once or twice.

I've been about since the first day this server opened and the past year or so is the worst I've ever seen it. Since it takes next to nothing to get someone banned it seems.

Currently playing, agree with the DSOMA issue only at lvl 75 and bored out of my skull of KL, could have stayed at Tarks longer by keeping str low but wanted a chance at Grim bow which is super rare...

Would be nice to see active updates, doesn't need to be a big bang update or anything just progress would keep me more interested. Appreciate Dan & Fin are busy IRL, but if nothing else just small updates on what's being worked on etc would be good.
