What would make you play again?

Improvement on the rested system, some people cant spare the hours and would be good to get a nice rate of EXP, rested fills up so quick and seems almost pointless having the system there over lvl 50.
( I realise this is the exact problem the rested system is trying to solve, but it need to be more, "potent"?)
I've not been out of rested since lvl 50 on hsoma or dsoma, its just the normal rate for people now.

Building upon that, EXP from quests would be nice too.

Basically, levelling is still slow for some people who don't have the time, with so many capped chars around, its easy to feel like a n00b even years into the game.

Payment: I would happily pay a small subscription to ensure the server not only continues running, but can be improved upon, very small like £2 a month per account or something.
Building upon the above idea because it would kill store chars, having a limited warehouse when you can freely make as many chars as you like is pointless, a much larger warehouse would be nice?

As mentioned by others, customisation, armour/weapon dyes, effects, auras, effects, robes, transmutation etc.
Earned/dropped in-game or purchasable from the donation store.

I don't think personally raising the level cap over and over is going to solve the user count, just boosts it for a little bit, something more needs to be done to keep capped chars more interested;
-Higher drop rate when capped.
-Lvl 50/60 boost on a new char when you hit cap, so you can start another class.
-Special armour/weapons/auras/items for lvl 110 only.
-Capped area with new map/town/mobs ?
-Different colour name when capped ?

More to do for the mid lvl chars, wow and gvw are almost pointless below 100, there needs to be some sort of pvp or rvr tailored for lower lvl character brackets; arena league, high and low lvl gvw/wow, something like that maybe.

This last one is more a quality of life change, as opposed to something to keep people playing or bring them back:
Benefits from being in a party, boosted xp gain/drops/stats when in party and close, party auras, choose more dmg or more dex or accu etc. so much could be done, but it would bring people together more.

Fair point hurri... but who had and made the first + 8 bow? and what did he do with it? And now ur here moaning about all the +8 stuff around and ppl buying and selling.

The truth is .. buying and selling has had a huge negative effect for current and ex- players.
The way to sort things out.. is to find a way to put an end to this.
More severe punishments.. perma bans ..deletion of items and characters...
Even better..find a way to put an end to it....no idea how that be done. But that is the main stumbling block imo

As said somewhere else.... appreciating the gms are busy and have their lives and work to do.. would help a bit if mayb ghost..if he aint busy to put more of a show on forums.... a few gm comments help to keep the forums more balanced and sensible.... left unchallenged ...the posts here can get a bit feral and childish

I'm level 108 and still run out of rested. 2-3 hours a day and you soon run out

Unpopular opinion passing through but take the game in a PvE direction and stop catering for PvP so much, playing this game the way it would of been in esoma before people got bothered about stats and correct levelling routes, I have noticed TyT is complete everything else is extremely rushed, through quests and getting spells I have hunted every single mob in TyT on my way to lvl 30 and the game almost has a story feeling to it, as soon as I move onto merc I know it becomes a grind and there's nothing but killing/farming, no Flute spells to hunt for via spheres from different mobs, no storyline quests, no fun basically just braindead farming.

This is pretty much the truth but unforunately nothing the GMS can do about it to stop it happening. If people do get caught they do deserve much more severe punishments. The whole 3 strike rule is flawed in it self, people may as well cheat until your on a final warning because you know you have 3 lives.

On another note +8 items shouldnt exist in game. Considering how long / difficult / lucky you need to be to make one the average player will almost certainly never make one.

+5 should be the max. Fights / PvP etc will be down to teamwork / skill / numbers level rather than whoever is willing to spend the longest time farming +8 items or as seems to be the case pay £££ for it.

make upgraded items soul-bound at +1 - would stop buying and selling instantly. Buy crafter tokens from crafters and upgrade your own

No... Just no. Without going into it to much. But how is a new player going to be able to buy say a 3% set if they had a lucky drop.
Also what happens when you're leap frogging upgrades.... say you finally make a 7% eva helm.... what are you going to do with the 6% you were leap frogging with?


If this was to happen they'd have to dramatically increase the success rate for upgrades

suite me fine... but guys that dont craft ..how they get stuff?
Could speed up crafting to 100 skill and force every1 into crafting.... duno..its a good idea the 'binding' to a character or acct..... not sure its too easy to implement

Mayb ..every1 can upgrade from 0-100 skill...and increase success at 100-150 and 200... so the 'soulbind' could work that way..therefore increasing the success rates from what they are now for 100-150 etc and would help with upgrades for every1...and that binding to ur character would work

More mobs to hunt, just copy same stats at nm / shanis / blg, whatever and use different skins and place them in cool unused locations. Soma's real weakness is killing blg or nm for 300-400 hours...
