Usually when you try to prepare something with the wrong recipe it says it cannot prepare it.
So i wasnt paying attention and fired up mares blood mats and put large ruby too. It prepared the mares and nicked my ruby also rofl. |

Don't think there has been any code changes to Prepare so if there is an issue then it has been there for a long time.
In general though crafting will just take what ever items you give it. Made a note to look at it but it will probably not happen until after the patch.

prepare doesnt take items usually if you give it the wrong recipe.
give a cannot prepare this item message. but stole my ruby ;( |
