Change the way to kill bosses

Also if you want to do grand devil guard so much, why don’t you go early? You know what time the boxes are available to be done? It’s a timed boss. Same every 4 hours.

"SAL3M"Somawizard suggested that it should change to hits on a boss hit counter for a repeatable quest with rewards that replicate the drops.

I think that is a pretty good idea, would mean you at least make some progress for attending rather than an all or nothing on last hit.

Yes make sense really suggested this ages ago. Everyone benefits and also makes people attend nega straight away rather than waiting till the last minute. Last hit can also be kept still as a bonus.

This implemented across all bosses would be a great idea and everyone will then get a piece of the pie. Yes china will get more items but what can you do?

Also the level 100 "Demonic" quest needs to be made repeatable.

While we are at it lets make a 120 repeatable quest for 5,000 mags for epic-int gorshak weapon or alternatively make mags drop gore weps.

I think the main issue we find with bosses is they have a certain level of defense, hypothetically lets say Negamare has 420 defense. This figure is high so only people with the best gear damage it more than 1 but do orders of magnitude more than every other player therefore getting more boss kills. This is how china has been so success as they have huge attack.

If bosses defenses were reduced but HP massively increased so it takes just as long to kill as before this might make it more fair as the % difference between say china who hits 480 and Yuka who hits 350 (again hypothetical numbers) would only be say 30% rather than the 8000% it probably is right now?

The only concern i'd have for this is if the defence is lowered doesn't that mean the boss won't hit as hard? As defence is based on str? and if damage was increased via int this would be easier for mages.

But in a nutshell i think these ideas are good and should be considered. The old bosses now need a overhaul to drop shak weapons and so do mags imo, I know most people don't seem to bother now with old bosses if it purely drops old weps for example stinger gtr....

Let's be realistic 95% of the time bosses are killed by people with OP gear. Hell i've got something like 25% acc set +16 dex access and a 691 bow and nearly 160 dex and still struggle to kill bosses.

I personally am not moaning about GDG, I don't find the time taken to go to it worth the reward now it drops 2nd tier weps ( And no gore may i add) Also don't see it actually dropping these 2nd tier weps that much have been to it overall about 20 times, unless dan has recently increased the droprate of these since nega introduced.

Personally i'm switching to spear, as i find it OP especially with that aura every 5 seconds will be great for bosses.

Daemon, your gear is undoubtedly good. But you would kill more bosses wearing a basic pod set, and troll rings otm and war beast stud.

Nega will be aura killed mostly so just try and max out that.

Deamomd, gdg does drop shak weps. Ive had a rare pan before. Your problem is maybe the bow ( which i think youve realised) misericord made a great dps table somewhere on the forum ( i will try and link it here when i find) and it shows bow has the worst dps out of all weapons. If your bow is 40-60 att thatbwill add 80-120 to your f10 attack. If you have an epic gore with around 65 -85 attack( guess) then that will add 130- 170 to your f10. You have enough base dex and morebthan enough accuracy to hit bosses. Swap your build up a bit, and build some att or str gear mate for the extra power.

The few biggest boss killers are probably

China007 - att gear with spear
Jnjuny - att gear with sword
Spiderrico att gear with knux
Tonskie, str/att gear with sword
P3RF3CT, att gear with knux.

Ive recently been getting my fair share of bosses and thats because ive build att accessorys and gone axe as my main

In a nut shell. Bow is poo now. Only good for pvp/mags. Not for bosses

I dont have a problem with who gets the drop but rather what there doing with them if ur farming bosses to sell for rl $ then ur hurting the server and that's not cool would I like a chance at a drop sure but I'd also just be happy if the ppl selling the items didnt get them just my opinion

I would love an aforementioned system where attending bosses adds a token if X% dam or number of hits are achieved.

FF14 runs a similar totem system and it keeps bosses rammed as if you don't get the roll you know that 10 boss attendances will get you the coveted weapon / piece of armour etc.

The problem is a lot of peoples characters are not built for boss killing, including mine as a mage, which is our fault tbh, but it results in bosses being ignored by 75% of the community.

Certain builds can attend as much as they like, but will hardly ever have a sniff at a kill.

Either we accept that is the way and bosses continue to be nonevents attended by the few, or it is changed up and given a new lease of life.

What i dont understand is why can't mobs/boss be introduced so there for mages/ melee

If you can build your character that way then there should be a boss for you imo

in hindsight.... i cant wait till the system gets changed(as you all want) and i can log "15" noobs in cheap clothes and a t wep (logged out in d4 at gdg) and have the same % chance of drop as china :) yay.
