Reverse dsoma stat allocation

Author Content Date
It was always said that the allocation could be reversed and tweaks made with ease with the new system, but nothing ever was as far as I'm aware

Is it believed everything was bang on at first attempt?

Having seen the dsoma population drop to nothing would it be possible to get a community vote on reverting back to how it was?

I feel like the old system paired with some sort of cap on str for mage and int for melee would be a million times better as a solution for the old issues, then you could punch to get different stats for your class if you chose to, but not end up with insane MD or DF/dex for mage’s.

Get rid of it - completely ruined d soma making archer the only viable class and caused 80-90% of players to quit.

Not sure how you would sort stats for those of us that have capped under the new system though?

Haven't played in a very long time. The thought of hunting any mob for exp and just manually adding stats was a big no for me, even though my character would benefit stats wise.

You are set on a 1 path only build now.

I would of preferred the old system where the mobs you hunt effect stat gain on a lesser scale. And then like 2 additional points to add per level on whatever you wanted.

So an archer would still gain mainly dex, axe mainly str ect ect on a much smaller scale, then you'd have an extra 2 points a level to spend if you wanted to be some sick glass cannon or a dexless axer with sick str, or choose to balance your character and be a jack of all trades.

Don’t play dsoma

But I would like to see dsoma active again and I believe removing this would bring back players .

Possibly would make a devil if I ever called asb 😂😂

Not sure how it would in relation to setting stats for each person on removal tho

It’s mainly because Hsoma logs off onto their devils and the numbers switch over 🥴

The entire Coven guild left because of it, certain members raised concerns before the change even happened but no one listened.

Definitely shouldn't be reverted (balance was much worse previously). But some adjustments are necessary, for sure.

Doesn't make sense that all classes have the same amount of points to spend. Axers should have more points to spend than archers, IMO.

Need to do something to give people a bit more choice in what to put points in. Currently it's pretty mindless it's just all points in STR/DEX/CON and rest in WIS. I want to experiment with a 400 str dexless glass cannon knuckler, damn it!
