X2 leveling rates have been activated since the last event, so I would say that there is a permanent xp event ever ongoing !

Rates were changed as it was agreed they were still too slow, weren't encouraging of new players and fewer people were playing the game as a result. This isn't an event, it's new rates. Besides, Halloween was x3 drops/xp/quest and was for like 10 days. That was an event. According to Discord, there was meant to be a big event and update for Xmas but the few ruined it for the many.
