Hsoma stat projections

Author Content Date
Are there any projections (or chars that actually did it) where say they changed from the axe/bow route at 171str
As in pure sword/spear/nuk from that point?
Curious if it's possible to divert from bow/axe without undoing the work i put in to get to that point

The stat benefit from axe/bow from this stage to cap out weighs any other option imo. You’re better res killing once you cap.

Best % gains are bow until you have the required dex (Apart from axe 151 str to 171) then axe till whatever str you want then reskill at cap. Levelling with any other weapon wastes % and doesn't give optimal stats. I think knuckle is the only slightly viable alternative

After 171 str there is no stat bonus and therefore all weapons are viable. if you want to cap str i would reccomend doing pure axe from this point to such a point where you feel you have enough % do do a bit of dex.

Say you want 220 str and 180 dex. You can use any variation of weapons to get it and it will be the same %.

so with sword having equal stats gains for str and dex at 110/110 would sword be best?

also from 161 to 171 there is no stat bonus infact its negative stat gains right at 0.7x?
surely boars would be best as they have no stat bonus and are flat 1.0x gains right or if I am wrong
please correct me xD

that was the case when they were first introduced. but finito fixed the gain on boar before 171 to reflect the deficit so there is no advantage to hunting them early

Sadly you lose stats if you don't go axe / bow all the way until cap, regardless of stats bonuses.

It's due to axe taking relatively less % to gain strength and bow taking less % to gain dex.

after lev 101 there are no bonuses.. using very vague stats to make the point ..
using nuk , you could make 1.2 str and 2.8 dex per level
using bow, could make you 0.7 str and 3.0 dex per level .. therefore gaining more total stats with nuk than bow

similarly using spear can make almost as much str as axe, but a lot more dex with the same result..
when u reach certain str or dex slows and want to concentrate on either dex or str is then the time to go all bow or all axe
well it seems to have got me decent stats swappin around.
Proly need to wake Flick to answer this with some mathematically correct analysis x

When levelling remember that soon there is going to be another cap increase to level 130 and you want to keep your str/dex no more than 30 apart otherwise you will screw your char for next cap. Pure bow to 125 then 5 levels of str when cap increase comes out is what I'm going for. Pure bow at lvl 121 (i did do the 151-171 axe)190 str 187 dex

What lupi has said is correct except its isn't anything to do with lvl. After 171 str any combination of weapons will use same % if you have attain same stats.

There is no relevance to keeping str and dex to within 30 of each other after you get to boars. The only reason it was beneficial to begin with was because of the stat bonus's attributed to mobs. You needed to use bow to stay in the larger bonus for longer. At 171 str that bonus has been removed from the new mobs and therefore no longer a factor.

So are you saying say 6levels of bow and 4 levels of axe would return same gains as say 8 levels of nuk and 2 of axe
(More % to gain the same dex as the bow but less axe required due to nuk returning more in the first place)

I presumed this was the case being the bonus windows but has this been confirmed?
