Healing to 100int

Hello all,

Healing to 100INT is currently a meta build for new players, along with 30 CON it encourages quite a lot of AFK gameplay which we should aim to avoid, IMO.

Firstly, you don't need to hunt to 100 INT. It doesn't make a huge difference. However, a new player is going to see people healing everywhere in every hut and will then see on the wiki that they should heal to 100 INT. The Wiki does NOT say to heal AFK but alas, realistically you are not going to find someone who healed to 100 INT without being AFK.

This brings a multitude of issues such as: needing the sound off in town, huts blocked for use and new characters being griefed among others.

1. As suggested by Shailo today on the discussion hall - Guard to kill grey players in town - not unreasonable.

2. Increase Gains on healing.

3. CAP healing at 50 INT and allow INT to be hunted in freemode until 100.

4. REMOVE gains from healing and allow all int to be gained in freemode until 100.

My aim is just to put an end to the misery of a new player in this game. Healing to 100 is not fun or interactive in anyway regardless of what negative behaviour it encourages.

Please don't say x did this first so x did it back or any of that nonsense. I don't care and it's boring.

Please also suggest another way to fix this issue if you have a better idea. It's not fine the way it is and nobody deserves to be griefed.

EDIT: Finito has added a fix (now live) which is:

attacks, auras, and magic (including healing) will no longer hit a player outside of PVP events when in battle mode, must be in PK mode

allowing in freemode till 100 would be the most ideal way tbh even if they kept it at the rates you gain while healing. it would allow u to hunt and gain items at the same time

It's not a cool thing for a new player to experience thats for sure and the wiki/community as you say will suggest to do it.

It wouldn't be a bad thing to make guards insta kill grey people in town. (After all it was once possible to one shot people in esoma in town and feather/tp) but I do like the randomness of seeing it happen. Maybe something slightly different to this idea?

It's probably simplest and lets people that _really_ want to do it, do it, and those that don't, don't.

Also I'll remind you on behalf of MickyC, the wiki is openly editable by anyone so feel free to re-work or put in a caveat etc :D

Not even necessarily in freemode. Just have normal levelling of int give 0% until 100 int.

Thanks for the feedback, lads. I think freemode to 100 INT would be a lot more healthy for the game, personally.

This idea requires the same time/effort (perhaps more) but is actually not AFK.

Also, your point has already been made. Please add something or don't post.

I never thought I would say this. I agree with knuckles.

When Finito introduces that you can only hit grey's in PK mode, that will fix people getting killed in town.

Healing to 100 takes over a month of effort, afk or not. It doesn't affect any other players game play in any way shape or form if someone is afk healing or at keyboard. If you spent the time hunting instead of healing you would easily make up the difference in stats with the 1 or 2 upgrade items.

As an example, 2 characters with the same build, one healed to 95 the other didn't heal at all. The one that healed to 95 int has 6 more int than the other character around the 130 mark. Hardly game breaking and honesty, it isn't worth the time spent.

Having people healing in town isn't a massively negative thing either. It makes TYT look more busy than it actually is!

Even if they kept it at the rates you gain while healing being the key words used. This is the idea most users are +1ing here. Rates remain the same as healing. This is not for free and takes the same time/longer and actually requires playing the game, which Knuckles had a problem with on discord yesterday.

FREEMODE until 100int: could be same rates as healing with 0% xp gains and actually requires to play the game.

WITHOUT FREEMODE: the way it currently is.

Finito fixing the issue with not being able to heal greys is fine with me but I only made this post based on the amount of negativity on discord yesterday regarding healing AFK.

If the GMs can confirm it is ok by them to heal AFK?

This is actually a pretty good soltuion, my apologies I mustn't have understood it correctly when I looked at it. I think there should still be a benefit to healing. Making INT 0% gains until 75 INT would allow people to still heal for the extra bonus if they so wished.

On the subject of afk healing, who seriously cares if someone is afk in a hut? Punching a bug in town afk is the same thing. Neither of these things impact anyone else's gameplay, just leave them to it.

Problem still being whos going to opt to hunt for however many hours it currently takes to 100 int over just leave there char afk, plus its another grind fest where new players aint progressing

Id just leave as is and ppl take the risk being afk, or freemode normal time it takes to 100 int
