I'd say increase the drop rates but the leveling rates are already quick enough.

Increase leveling rates up to 130, increase drop rates, remove immunity pots.

No temporary fix is gonna sort the game out.

Immunity potion should not be removed since bosses must be like an event for everybody to be able to get instead of a small group of players that can allowed from the side who got numbers at that point of the game play...its 2 hours per day at max and most remainers play more than 5 6 per day....!

think the main problem with morale atm.......
server speed so fast... lower lev weps are only needed for a few weeks..... players can reach lev 120+ pretty damn qwik... so everyone is wanting top end stuff ... which is reasonable

with nega weps still fairly on the hard side to get... and generally not lasting long at the anvil....
there's a shortage of top end weps.. which ..after 10 hours at vafers or elders can get a bit demoralising....

generally .. drops aren't too bad.. but the hi end weps could use a boost..
how many useable nega bows are there in game 500 recoilish? not too many to be seen about..ofc theres a few nice 1s...but they aint commonplace after a long long time now..

moving forwards and improving ur gear is a big motivator .. but get's difficult once u get into.. or try get into the 'big stuff'

spose the thinking might be.. when some of the new weps get into circulation... the nega drops might get a tweak

maybe

months of bosses and combines to get 2 intense nega weps. for them to break at +3 and +4 at the anvil in 5 minutes.

i dont agree with boosting levelling rates. We already level too fast and people get bored. I do however agree to impliment some kind of regular x2 drop rates, maybe once a month sounds good. Enough to keep people interested but not too much that player become too advantaged and bored. I'm against the x2 weekends as i work staggered shifts and work most weekends

Drop rates are main issue for me.
Having 200 armour skill and it having only benefit of 4 srs.
Upgrading has 0 benefit for most items.
Leveling is fast enough.
Anvil needs to be more skill related.

atm .. we're in a bottleneck of level 125+ players..all wanting the same thing and those things not very attainable....
that bottleneck needs clearing

ofc everythin aint sposed to be easy.. but it's getting tough for everyone , nvm part time/ casuals...

some relaxation and a bit of a boost might help morale..

a ' sprinkling of gm generosity' maybe x

wouldnt hurt if a few more ppl had some nice gears.

A day in the life of a soma player.....

What happened today I feel is what everyone goes through at some point in there soma journey and felt it has a bearing on the thread, in that it’s about the moral of the community as a whole, farming/levelling/questing/bosses to get drops, items, loot to then be in a position to make upgrade items and upgrade armours or weapons or accessories to have better gear to help you as a player to continue on your journey.

Well today I decided to make some swift spirit’s in the hope of making some weapons better than they are/were.

First process, making the large diamonds...

3 small to make mediums 100% success
3 mediums to make large 100% success

Come away with 4 large diamonds (feeling happy)

Second process, taking the large diamonds to farm to extract for the nimble dust, 100% success.

Third process, making the mares blood (knowing prepare isn’t 100% so there is always a chance of failing)
4 out 4 made (feeling good)

Fourth process, making the swift spirit’s....
2 out 4 made (slightly pissed off, but upbeat)

Fifth process, the actual attempts at the anvil......

2 stingers that are/were currently at +5 I felt we’re worthy of the swift spirirt’s.

1 out 2 success, came away with a +6 bow (slightly gutted only coming away with 1 new +6 weapon after all the process, but I will say here and now Im slightly glad the other got taken by the anvil and not returned with a fake +1)

I have no idea on how to make soma a better place to want to log on and play soma, but I will say this.

In my humble opinion the anvil is fine, the long drawn out process to get to the anvil could do with looking at. More drops would counter the bad luck players come up against in this process of making gear. If the process was a little more rewarding ie time invested versus rewards I’m more than sure more players would look forward to logging on to play more often.
