There are plenty of quests in the land of Soma but none for crafters, would it be possible to create some crafters quests to utilise there crafters skill, smelting, synthesis, disassemble for rewards.
Create x amount of x type of plate metal for reward of one of the mag mats ie scarlet bar, robust board, cloudy bones, molten oil etc maybe even have them repeatable. Would require the use of disassemble to get the old mats, scrap metal, small tree etc and hand in x amount for half the amount of any of the mag mat tier, again maybe repeatable. The above 2 quests are just examples.

It should be craft me 500 of your finest bread and bring me a set of displacer armor and prepare me a mares blood and make me a red devils pill and Ancient Groomy Pills also bring me 2 wind bands . Reward Large Dia :P
That way crafters skills are actually needed once more :D
