Dsoma archer

I only skim read most of this, but at the risk of sounding constructive: the way dex works in this game is an absolute joke, reducing the evasion cap from dex could help quite a bit I think.

80% base evasion on basically everyone, plus 10% evasion from dodge (IIRC, been a while 😅) is just beyond ridiculously OP.

Or revert the strength change on D-Soma, but with the insanely overpowered attack on weapon’s now this would be less effective than previously IMO - but an improvement to the current situation no doubt.

Both changes would probably be a good shout tbh.

Yes the acc/eva limits are rather silly, imo evasion should be capped at 75% max, aura/gear after that point shouldn't affect this (at least this way a full acc set would bring hit chance to about 50/50 which is fair imo, considering all other att/def ups have to be dropped for the acc gear being used

Archer base dex is high enough that every class other than nuk starts at the 80%eva 99% hit rate before gear is taken into account.
The point a lot are trying to make is yes the range nerf works well (brings them in to range 1) but due to dex (dsoma specific) there is no issue for an archer to stand at range 1 because nobody else can hit them
Split it down to evasion and accuracy as 2 stats, that way the total points given can limit them depending on what they want to achieve.
If archers became more squishy again it would perhaps force them to range, which beings the new nerfs into play

Just my 2p

EDIT: Removed, came back from breakfast and it turns out mike and climax made the same point above, so I'll save all the heavy numbers reading ;p

I didn’t see your post but should’ve kept it up mate.

I think a lot of people who play this game have quite a poor understanding of this system, or they certainly did before anyway - the more clarity the better.

It's not that I don't know this game, but people who use this game are very useful. Some Koreans use automatic programs very quickly and easily to make good use of the important elements of the game. Look. How many Koreans do you think are playing this game? Koreans have already noticed that they are enjoying the program as an attribute and all have left. No matter how good and balanced you say here, you will be destroyed by people who use automatic programs well.

The reason I refute all the good suggestions you make here is because people leave and talk for years and years because of the automatic program, but the game master doesn't stop or punish them, so he keeps posting.

After watching this video,
Is there anyone who can say that it is a level of control that humans can do enough?

This person has yet to stop accessing the game or take any action.

No one would deny the issue of these programs. Sometimes they get banned and sometimes they don't get banned. It all comes down to how busy the GM is. Chances are a GM will see that link now and ban the guy :P

Anyway, with some of the changes discussed above and the incoming HP buff based on CON, I think dsoma pvp would become more interesting and fun. Archer vs mage was fun for about a month and now even thinking about pvping on dsoma annoys me.

Yeah, the set I gave him is the best about. Wonder who's it was before?

As I say, there are many videos. There's a lot besides this person. Many videos were sent to the game master, but there was no action. That's why I'm saying the game is over.

You for one are lucky they don't ban often, there have been literally hours of footage showing you abusing old pk systems with dif level chars attack/perma blinding people/mob stealing or just killing their mobs to get some reaction

"HEATZINC"I agree with the premise of the post, and archer needs changes, wholeheartedly agreed. But to play devils advocate with one or two of the points too;

Rik is correct with the # of hits, I can 2 hit + 4th a mage, in a couple of pieces of new armour this can often reach 3 hit + 4th. Granted, that's without any major attack gear. I've seen on occasion an archer hit + 4th, but they must be stacking pretty high attack gear, I'm not one of them :D

Moving on to that, you'll often notice with other archers around, archers will switch to dex gear to offset the hit rate of the other's dex gear. Attack and proc gear can only realistically be worn without other archers present for the most part, as without it other archers (and any heavy hitting class tbf with a bit of accuracy gear on) can pummel them.

The real dex boost comes from all the dex gear archers wear, they may have higher base dex, but other archers in good dex gear (in some cases 75-80+) is really where it becomes a nightmare, as fellow archers struggle to hit them too. A base dex archer is virtually useless against another archer who's geared up. But by reducing base dex I can see how that may naturally offset a little for other classes - It does perhaps take a little away from the original desire of being an archer though (I mainly chose it for ease of hunting when I created mine)

I've really enjoyed the range debuff too for archer, it's made combat generally more interesting.

I'm easy anyway, just some thoughts.

the higher the lvl cap goes and the double dts which it was the biggest mistake created this issue even if we reduce the base dex of an archer it wont solve anything more drastic changes needed tbh which it wont happen

what i mean drastic changes i mean revert the changes
make str be def/attack again and maybe remove double delight tabs
this will devalue dex sets greatly and will make meele classes tankier

Absolutely, couldn't agree more. Base dex reduction would have to be massive to have any impact, as it only takes a couple of dex items to max eva in essence

Just to be clear, I'm not suggesting only a base dex reduction to an archer to 240 but im suggesting that spear/ axe/ sword have equal base dex as an archer or more considering an archer has range on their side. As for knuck I think they should 100% have more dex than an archer.

Also as other people have suggested (climax and maybe another 1/2) - the acc/eva calculations should change so that the max evasion is pushed down to something more fair. Even on Hsoma at a pvp event I watched the warriors fight for like 25 minutes in eva gear. It's just clearly broken and it should be changed.

It's a waste of time to discuss things that won't happen, i.e. a revert. It's also a waste of time to discuss things you think shouldn't have happened.

TLDR, Give everyone same base dex, knuck more than rest, mage leave low, change acc/eva calc (billy knows more about this kind of stuff than me)

Why shud knux get more? Bow shud have the highest dex of all, same as axe str etc. Don't try and change too much mate
