Hi !

How do you actually make barr as a new player?

Feels like its always a struggle to get enough barr for pots and repairs :'(
I sell all materials, iron, metals and armours that I do not have any use for!

It did go better for a few hours when I hunted scaled raptors as they dropped armours quite often but then I got to normal raptors and I wasted all barr on spells that I dont think i will even use later on :$


At what point will I make a profit each hunt? Once I get to trolls?

I'm just worried that It will be like this until I start getting rare drops that people want to buy?
But I don't know what people want :(

Like herbs.. I saw someone talk about herbs but how much do people pay for them?


I always feel like that I could be hunting stronger mobs for faster stats even tho I will have to use alot of pots :$

It feels like I'm doing it wrong when the prices to unlock mercenary area wh, abias wh and spells are so expensive also.

Are there any low level bosses that I should be doing?

save the materials and craft to make some money and herbs etc from raps will net u sum gd cash if u sell them

as a human weap crafting is a big money maker

Herbs droped from raptors will net you quite abit also.

Id surgest u get enough int next and move onto wraith nakid to lvl str, drops are good there any you will make quite a lot of profit

The price of WH always been a issue at low lvls for when u need the WH, but a few more levels and you will find u have all the WH open

Go stige and get a couple of frogs or stay at raps and get some herbs. Don't bother saving these items as they are more frequent later in game. Sell what you can via forums to generate cash. You're easy looking at 100k+ for each of those 2 items which is worth more to you now than a frog will be later on.
But to answer question trolls is where hunting you will start to break even on bar drops only.

INT is expensive, as it requires a lot of pots.

My advise would be stay Scale Raptors for a while or go to Evil Riders, they'll make you rich. After you can take trolls easy you should be ok for the rest of the game.

Do str/dex following my leveling guide in the manual and save all your MP pots from raptors/scale raps. This will save you a fair whack when you come to doing INT. Once you hit scale raps/raptors if you sell the armour that is dropped and sell herbs for like 75k/100k you will make a lot. As others have said, once you have a little bit of bar you can start crafting for profit. Armour is the easiest to start as it's 2 linen/1 leather which is cheapest in comparison to accessories which is 3 copper and weapons which is 3 copper/1leather per try. Accessories/weapons have the highest profit margin but you have to have bar to make bar ;)

Joining a guild if you are active.

Magners, Firetrap, Arcanix, No mercy.

Will provide you with help you need (free armour/weapons)
Easy and quick sales of items.
And most likely start up cash.

As I am in firetrap, feel free to apply there.

Try and hunt stige when you're a lower level, go below where the white magic npc is, I got a couple of frogs there and sold them 100k apc.

Have to say without that the game would be boring. I've spent 90k of it so far doing Int, str and getting a merc wh.

Once raps are easy then you generally break even/make a small profit.

Old post, but if you are still struggling pm BradC or Bl00d_shot and I can give you 1mill or more too start you off if you like, I know this doesn't help you make barr tbh but it gives you a nice starting point, just be sure not to get ripped off by other players, always ask more experienced players for advice when buying/selling items or shout that you are buying/selling the item you are going to buy and see what kind of others you receive etc. (Can even browse forums and use the search button to see what items have sold for in the past or currently being bid on.)

Also barr tends to come naturally the higher level that you are, as mobs drop more valuable items and more stacks of barr in general.

Try to hunt efficiently, make sure you have best DF and best ATK you can when possible and hunt mobs that are not too hard that it is unpractical and still to avoid the ones where they are so easy it is just a waste of level XP.


Also, joining a guild is always worth while.
