Thanks, Streg, but no thanks. I see you are very much a Pker. But it’s a nice thought.
I have an idea that might make people think a bit. What if we introduce a ‘Highwayman’ situation rather than a straightforward murder? If you are wandering around in VOD, and see a potential victim, you kill it, of course. But what have you achieved? In the unlikely event you get a decent drop, yes, you have made something; otherwise, you are no better off.
The victim is a rezzie scroll less (25K poorer) and has to trudge all the way back to VOD.
So, let’s look at it another way. The Pker approaches but doesn’t attack. Instead he says “25K please.” Also meaning , “I won’t bother you further today (That’ a Soma day).” In other words it’s ‘stand and deliver’. The ‘victim’ drops 25K, which the Pker picks it up.
The People Killer has become a Highway Man, and is 25K better off. The victim looses 25K, but has survived and doesn’t face a long trudge.

If your in a guild known for pking u may be in trouble as people could see u as a pkers alt.

Most people leave certain guilds ,

But normally speaking if your in a guild known for NOT being involved in ok fits - helping in 1 - or going anywhere near gvw ( as this also leads to you " choosing a side ")

As long as ur nose is clean and in a anti ok guild u "SHOULD" be ok.
But ofc I can't guarantee this it's just how I see it.

Also - if ur a returning char and pked previous to ur break / leave
People may also hold grudges to there pk's previous. Even if u return not wanting the pk. As this has been the case with Brad. Everyone now's Mr Cole and his knowing for guild jumping for a few years before settling down in big bang. He originally help no mercy then known to help dark legacy. But being 3+ years people are knowing he doesn't go out looking for the trouble. But with his past the grudges are really. So still occasionally goes to him.

Your friendly neighbourhood

Don.

i vote for loot on death instead =]
Soma is very lenient for dieing in PvP compared to most games out there, 25k is nothing, getting a kill on Soma is literally just bragging rights

But surely this would just lead people to go round in a large group for pk. Currently some of the videos, u can see it's all un even pk fights, this would just lead to peoplr hunting / farming in ingeared stuff in fear a 4 v 1 is round the corner.

Would be a big rework. But in a general the POS system works to a degree.

If u had a pk type of pos. So if u get it goes up if there have a pk
Point. Other wise it's useless. As pk points get rewards to reward pkers. Type of thing

It’s not a bad idea in principle....

As we know barr has actually become more valuable recently.

Maybe gm’s could add a stand and deliver tab when you right click a player. This then would allow the pk’ers to earn Barr and in return if a player decided to pay it triggers an hour countdown before he/she could be held up again sort of immunity. It could also help to combat the numerous botters farming or at least help to show who really is botting.

@Don
Yes mate loot on death was tongue in cheek, i didn't mean it - items on Soma are far to valuable to be made droppable upon death.

However i did make a suggestion a year or two ago that POS should work for PK, and make POS gems also drop from monsters, with POS being a currency alongside Valour.

Wouldn't take much work and would give a much bigger reason for PvPers to actually PvP

/POSon / POSoff could mean you are wagering POS upon kill or death so theres no point killing a /POSoff pve'r but anyone who wants to actual fight to gain POS would have to /POSon but risks losing some POS if they die

Not thanks. This will lead to people using/paying their second character for immunity lol

"RAVENSOUL"And I believe you now can’t defend yourself in normal attack mode if you get attacked, you now have to go into pk mode if you choose to defend yourself which I find an absolutely stupid decision.
