I can see what he's doing, I don't think its a bot client as such,
This looks to me that hes auto clicking on one space and has a smart key that presses every so often? did he post faster upon being attacked by egf? |

"BASIL"I can see what he's doing, I don't think its a bot client as such, Yes, enslaved do 1dmg so if it were a timer, he wouldn't be able to out-pot 2 egf, which do considerably more. He died when he had no more pots

I believe on the test server the FIRST ban was 5 days. The second ban was longer.
The auto ban is also still in place but it won't catch everything. It's still up to the community to report any suspicious behaviour. |

Botting should incur at least 50% stat removal, perhaps more.
Why? Lets look at it like this: Avg. person plays about 3~4 hours a day. They set the bot up while at work (8 hours) Bot continues to work while the player is asleep (8 hours) So out of 20hours, the bot has done 16 wheras the player has done 4. Lets be generous and say that the player contributes 8 hours of play time ("hardcore"). The bot is doing 16hours, the player doing 8hours... 66% of his stats/hunting is done automatically and as such should result in stat removal. Botting punishment should not be "tap on the wrist" it should be absolute devastation to that person's character.

I agree with S0cer0r, and therefore am taking myself off for a wash.
As I have said before, botting is a clear intention to cheat and this gives rise to an unfair advantage. Absolute devastation is correct, to me this devastation should be removal of the character from the database.

I've heard people taking the view that they can bot, and have a pretty good chance to get to lvl 50+ or even higher before noticed or caught. They then have a 5 day ban and then return never to bot again but with a high lvl character.
Then there are the casual like me, who have put in hundreds of hours of our time to play, not even lvl 50. This stance on botting is only hurting the general population. The botters are literally laughing behind the scenes.

If this guy isn't banned permanently or char deleted for 2nd botting offence then I can imagine a lot
Of people will do it. Example and precedent needs to be set. |
