"MITHRIL"Go bow everyone else does

Some bandwagoners will regret that, especially if they don't get high enough of a level and good gear but people like benefits and bow has a lot.

There's only a few characters that make bow look godly and tbh that's mainly to do with the 190~200 dex and level gap between them and everyone else but that gap is closing.

I would also be interested in a leveling guide for devs; i made mine already just havent had the time to take him out for a spin due to the unknown aspects of the map.

questions like:

a) What do u start hunting - what do u move on to, what should you avoid at early levels etc.
b) where are they located on the map.
c) what areas should non-mages avoid.
d) how do you get your armor/ clothing
e) can all classes learn heal or only mages

etc.

Ok I'll give a quick guide here for melee class. I'm currently training sword, but have lvled knux and bow to 70+ also.
If we have Conti go rock golum or whatever they called on castle map until around 22 str. Get strong amour and head to dread scythe until hoppers. Then once you get hp regen (sword class) hit hwan abs, then either go tark plas until around 75-80 str, then depending on your gear head to EB, the faster you get to eb the better as they will give the best str until around 110str.
Make sure you get some punch lvls in early as it will make wbm easier to hunt, the faster you get there the better again. (might even be worth training up a pocket healer for when you get around lvl *65-70. I recommend around 3 punch lvls around lvl 54-57 to get 74 int as soon as.

That's a quick guide, but dsoma lvling path is pretty linear

Also get a swift hand (+5 dex) and some +2 str rings early as you can as they will make everything alot easier. Ask about people usually giving stuff away, think jara was giving away swift hands at one point, dunno if he still is

dread scythes till hoppers? fuck that for a laugh! If you havn't got any hand downs of spiked you will need to go to rotting corpse to get some (top left pande) and then fireworm after that before hoppers.

Yeah PM me for some swift hands. I'm usually on in the evenings.

As for leveling guide, this is kinda rough, but something like this:
Inguit
Sedlak
Mordant
Infernal Mantis
Dread Scythe
Rotting Corpse
Fireworm
Mutated Grasshoppers

Those are what i consider the "early game" mobs where you can't really go wrong with stats.

After those you'll want to hunt monsters that have more than 30 str than you for optimal gains, so something like:
Tarkhili Paladins till 80 STR
Evolved Beasts/Gargoyle Fighters till 107/108 STR
Kharil Lizards till 132 STR
Etc. Etc.

If you have a pocket healer you'll want to hunt monsters with more than 50 str over you, as they will give the best stats possible.

Ask people in game for locations / co ords of those mobs, or hunt down the JsDsoma Manual for detailed maps.
