Hi, Just going by the FUN fights we have been having and how its actually bringing ppl into the game loads of NM and DL around due to the 150 egg boss, And although this character has been slaughtered -.-. Its been amazing... gives us something to fight over.
The idea. Rather than having the easter boss in and keeping the boss there (for obvious gear reasons) Could You keep in BIG BERTHA but.. Move it out of town. So every 4 hours theres a guranteed contested boss?. We just had a massive fight spanning about 30-40 minutes deaths on both sides and it was absolute fun. Please have a look.

its giving people a reason to log in. Could even nerf the drops on it a little as if it drops its net worth thats alot! |

Think 4 hours is stupid and would become old fast
However the fact that it's a decent boss and the counter works wonders of getting ppl ready for the boss brings more ppl to it Incorporating the counter permenetly onto a boss that has some decent loot that dosnt 1 shot every none lvl 100 and takes a bit to kill. The only issue would be the amount needed to spawn it, if 1 counters is going to take 10 hours then ppl ain't going to wait about

You have to remember that this was the first boss in around 30 spawns? That saw any real PVP. I've been at plenty of these where only Mamba was online from DL, I think 5-6 in a row at one point. Not digging at you either horus, but there was one on Saturday you where online and didn't turn up to help your guild in a 5 v 4 situation, so it can't be all that.
A Bertha that spawns once every 24-48 hours though might be quite interesting. It should also be in a "neutral" location, that doesn't give Benefit for /return. Edit : We also have SS, which is essentially what you are asking for every 6 days.

Yea definitely a neutral location . Problem with SS is the guild that doesn't own GV doesn't turn up as the other guild gets all the bosses because of trace.[/quote]

I dont go on this character to That boss spawn as its rubbish. Wasnt me on it last night either. but id still rather post off "my" account. Also ss is a race v race outing and only decent when we win it and as you said... every 6 days. I also kinda like the fact you can /return or gv tp gives a bit more meaning to the guild village hall in my personal opinion. Also yesterday is the first time ive had any real time to play soma in a couple weeks and that fighting last night made me want to log in again today... which is uncommon.

I dont go on this character to That boss spawn as its rubbish. Wasnt me on it last night either. but id still rather post off "my" account.

Just as another point. - If it was in another location say... d3 it would be easier for those with gv to repot and trace back. Think GV always going to be a benefit to whoever owns it and quite rightly so as its the only real focal point of pvp in soma.. which is once a week.

Do what you all did that time in EQ, throw down the gauntlet. Set a time and a place like before, say how many people you are bringing and await to see if anyone turns up.

Anything that makes people log on is positive and should be considered. NM have certainly been more active during this event, and DL are more active than we were before the event.

That's not accurate from what I've seen. Admittedly I haven't been on for a few days but last week there was plenty of PvP at the boss. Fights are so back and forth though should do a " you cant run and you are there till you die rule " then you can go sit in town lol if even numbers anyway. Remember doing this on esoma with Mos v Nightblades was a lot of fun.

I remember arena being a thing back in esoma i was far to young to play the game seriously or even get involved in any feuds tbh but i remember getting to lvl 8 and being amazed with all the people in the arena i went back to tyt got a staff and some pots and made it my mission to keep a guy called "cyprien" alive lol good old days.
