So I found this game looking for a small community driven game with full loot pvp so here I am :)
My questions are: Is the PVP full loot? meaning if i was to kill someone or die I would drop my gear? How does the pvp system work? Is this a private server or the original game? are there any good guides to help new players? What are the best builds for pvp? mage, range, melee ect.. Whats the community like here toxic? How old is this game and whats your reasons for still playing it? Thanks:)

ok yes there is a possibility you can drop your items if you get pk'd, and the economy for rare expensive drops etc is really good. pvp you can attack anyone at any time aslong as they are 30 lvls above or below your own lvl I think. its a private server but has been running now for 3-4years and will have years left I think they'r planning to raise cap one day, community is great l are really nice/helpful ,there is a guide sumwhere ask ppl though too they will help and its really old mate I used to play this 12 years ago or sumfin me on the original game when you had to pay to play(im too old for games ;/) hehe, this is the best mmorpg I have ever played in my life tbh I love it, hope this helps ask someone for link to guide mate ;]

Quick answers, sure someone will get a fuller answer shortly.
1) Is PvP full loot? No. There are a few different types of PvP in the game, none of which are full loot. High tier items are hard to obtain/make (upgraded items) so full loot PvP isn't realistic for this game. 2) There are two races - devils and humans. There is a weekly war where they fight each other for control of a map (Conti). In each realm there is also a weekly guild village war for control of the village (allows you to trace/warp to other players in your guild). There is also open world PvP, so PKing. The only PvP element that involved dropping of loot is open world. 3) Pirate server, but the only active one in Europe. 4) If you look on the main forum page, there is a user-created manual. That should be useful for explaining how the game works. Otherwise ask people in game, most are pretty helpful to new players. 5) All builds have their own merit. Roughly speaking there are three main builds end game - melee (high dex, cap str, low int), mage (cap/high int, low str, low dex (generally) and tank/support (balanced int and str, not going to 3/4 hit anyone but also not going to be killed easily by any one class). 6) While there are a lot of arguments on the forum and in game, the community actually isn't too bad. As with any small community driven game, people invest a lot of time into the game, and rivalries develop, and spill over into arguments. The community can be bad at times, but the small community and competition element is what has kept people playing for 15 years. 7) The game is about 10-15 years old I think, and the majority of people still playing have played on and off for most of that time. As mentioned above the small community where everybody knows everybody, and competitiveness is what keeps people playing.

the original english version of the game stopped receiving updates from the devs as they had moved onto other projects.
The company, which i cant recall the name in my opinion tried to go big to fast selling the same product with a different name. Droiyan is another such game, sadly not as developed as this in english as it had a very short life, again as i understand due to poor support from devs. If, you can imagine like alot of the facebook games where its the same world builder but they give it a different name and add micro transactions and think nobody notices. I'd actually like to add, i think isylver and finito? both worked on the droiyan database a bit. i would love to see that take off, if they ever found the time or interest.

"IRISA"Thank you for reply :) so what happened to the original server are they closed down and why? did this used to be a subscription game? yes it used to be subscription game run by gamenetwork ? however the GM that run myth of soma wasn't very technical and relayed on the Korean game makers to supply them with updates. the server files was leaked online and the password to the server was the same used on the official server to what the leaked files had, plus theres was bugs to dupe items that they couldn't fix lucky for us isylver and finito have done a much better job with the soma server since then

war is between the devils and humans
there is also a pvp guild village war once a week for control of an assest at the bottom of the tyt map all are advertised in yellow text often in game same server, segregated leveling zone with two contested maps. once a week they fight for control of this area. a separate event is sacred stone which is also between the races

SANDOKAN |
Welcome to Soma :)
Can always contact me ingame with any questions. Mage is good way to start and level fast :) One important thing ... You will notice you are on rested exp the first 50 (or 60) levels .. this way you will level twice as fast as on normal exp. This gives new players the option to catch up faster. After this you will regain rested exp when you spend time in a town, so always log off in a town so you will regain rested.
