"IRISA"Where can I purchase some new mage gear? any stores or different towns I need to go to? as the quests I have been doing only seem to be giving me str required gear armors/weaps/access can be obtain from bosses or normal mobs you hunt but you can also buy them from NPC's from different town or have a crafter make some for you. You can also start crafting if u feel making your own gear :p. Mats are available in Abias Town, i hope you will have a good stay oh and also, you have to raise up your constitution to get higher HP which can be done any levels. Try getting 30.0 which everyone has.

"IRISA"Thank you very much for help enjoying the game so far :D There are a lot of factors involved in stat gains, for example different mobs give stat gains in different amounts of %. Given that there is a limited amount of % available to your char, if you want the best stats then you obviously want to hunt mobs that give stats in the least %. That said, you could follow a general guideline as a mage and still end up with good stats. A normal mage would end up with about 140str and 176int, so no, doing some str as a mage will not hinder your character at all.

Copy and pasted from the In-game manual that people have mentioned. It has many useful things in it and is defiantly worth downloading
2. Basic hunting and weapon guide With some weapons you will be able to move onto area's sooner then this guide suggests, if you're pure bow and/or knuckle this will be the case, also with a 1 handed weapon using a shield with axe or sword this maybe the case also. If you hunt a monster with less than 50 strength (Or INT), you will gain an additional stat bonus, giving you stats in less % then a normal monster. This is the same for monsters with 30 less str/int, however the bonus is not as great as 50. If your character is wanting a large amount of dex, keep dex as close to strength as possible as strength is now proportional to dex. An example would be if your strength is in the boundary of less than 50 of the monster, you will gain dex (and strength) in less % then someone who is in the boundary of less than 30 strength of a monster. Using 3rd knuckle and sword is one of the quickest ways to gain stats because the aura counts as 3 hits This guide is based on hunting without a healer, if you hunt with a second client using a healer you can move onto monsters a lot sooner, thus giving much better stats per % Strength guide 1. Con till 18 on brics, do this on conti if possible 2. Strength on Leocrots till 16 3. Orcish Infantry/Evil Crawler till 22 4. Kobold's/Stige till 28-30 5. Strong Kobold's till 33 6. Scale raptor's till 40 7. Raptor's till 50-53 8. Psycho Trolls till 61 9. Trolls or Sand Crawler till 70+ 10. Bone Golems/Devil's Warriors till 90 11. Leiver Beast/Palus till 110 12. Beast Lord Guardian till 162 Alternatively wraiths are good stats from 45 dex onwards until 80+ strength/75 dex if you can hack the grind! Below is a table of strength/dex ratio for weapons Weapon Str:Dex Bow 1:1 Knuckle 1.1:1 Sword 1.3:1 Spear 2:1 Axe 3:1 The weapon skill cap is 370 Int guide 1. Heal till 13 int and 5 blue skill 2. Swamp or scale raptors till 32 int (Using fireball to ensure you get 55 blue skill for 2nd weaken) 3. Gazers till 35 4. Evil Brics till 39+ 5. Wraith till 65 6. Lich Lord till 75/80 7. Prismatic Shadow till 103 8. Nightmare till cap Alternatively you can do wraith from 35 with slow one at a time and Drazil/ELite Lizardman from 50 until 75 If you're going to use a healer, you need to copy and paste you're "C:/Myth Of Soma" folder so you have two folders, then create a second shortcut on the desktop to the copied folder, this will stop animation bugs occuring.

Thank you I did read it but struggle to understand. I'm used to the common theme park mmo's that hold your hand :P So i guess it just something I need to get used to.
EDIT: Would it be wiser then to follow the manual and forget about the quest if i want to get the most % i can for my character.

imo i would reccomend getting around 35-40 str/dex first before int, as this makes the raptors less likely to kill you quickly incase of lag or dc.
Most of the quests are not that useful (especially for mage) but if you're going to be killing them monsters and you have a quest for them may as well accept it.

Only do quests that give you something you want at the end of it. Most will give you only bar, or items you can get when hunting other monsters. Concentrate on your stats/ % gains. You can always go back and do quests later on if you decide you want the rewards. you can do this in free mode /freemode... this allows you to freely hunt minor mobs without gaining stats or experience therefor not wasting your exp

It's not very hard once you've gotten the hang of it. Just take it slow and try to learn something new everyday. As you can read the community is more than happy to help, so there's no need to know everything in a short time span.

I wrote that manual and a few points i'd recommend for new starters.
Get 18 con nice and early, probably on brics. Keep str within 10 of dex at all times, if you have too much str you're dex gains will be poor. Get once you hit around 50/60 str do some int till 60/70, this will let you do melee on wraiths to make life a bit easier. Drop me a forum PM if you get stuck or post on here, everyone is more than willing to help you out.
