Complete new low :/ Slither had gone to get mats, went back to forge and was pk'd, almost died.
Never had a run in with the Chinese, never bothered them but suddenly they attack? Had obviously done something to stop the guards attacking :/ Seems like they were planning something as they'd started to gather at the forge 20 mins previous to that. Was shocked by the threads they were posting with regards to the mother/sister comments and then they make them selves look as bad by behaving like that in town :(

The majority of the chinese can't come to gvw/wotw in full numbers because of the time difference anyway - I doubt it would have such a big impact. I'd be sad to see them banned - the only thing worse than a server with mean, ruthless players is one with only friends and carebears. Its a nice balance at the moment - both 'sides' (dynamic/EQ and n_m/chinese) have plenty of high and medium levels and neither completely crushes the other out of the game. You arent safe if you are in either guild (and they are both too busy with each other to bully neutrals), which makes for a fun and energetic game. The test server was shit because one guild completely dominated for 1year+, it was zero fun to try level on a server with 1 dominant guild with capped stat/level players with devil moral and ruthless pking ambitions. If the chinese went (through bans or whatever) it wouldnt be fun at all.

This has gotten completely ridiculous now. It's understandable they they're frustrated but all they've done is complain about cheating and someone hacking them all. They've provided fuck all valuable information to try and help diagnose the problem and have now well and truly lost the plot. I can't comprehend how stupid you have to be to think insulting the people who provide you with a game at their own expense is a way to get things sorted.

As bad as they may be, i dont think permanently banning them is the answer.
I do enjoy a bit of competition, even tho one cannot compete with characters who are played 18+ hours a day, would be a shame to lose them. |

In this situation the leaders of the nation would hold talks to find out why it is happening. If this fails, they would need to be controlled. |

You can't permanent ban the Chinese. What about the few that play legit? The competition at high lvl is also needed as no1 else ingame and provide the competition again eq and dyn that the Chinese do. Harassment should still be dealt with though which it seems it is.

While I agree that on the whole this is bad behavior, we need to look at the larger picture here.
I think disabling PK'ing for a few days to try and let everything "blow over". Maybe have 1-2 test GVW's with old settings to try and get the bigger fault. Loosing the Chinese and the ~4-5 top NM players who would go would create a big loss for the server whatever "side" you play on. They struggle, you have seen the recent posts. Google translate and what they see as being ignore has created a lot of hate. If we stopped PK'ing for x time. Let everything cool down and all proactively try and find and cure a big fault in the game, we might actually move forward.

While the translation may come across difficult some of the posts advising them about the situation are an honest reflection on the situation. Translation is no longer a big excuse for me, we can string together what they say in chinese on the forums to get the jist of the situation. Instead they multiple post, kick up a storm and some of the posts this morning are just stupid. They know exactly what they are posting when they abuse GM's. People talk about a big loss, the biggest loss will be the server if things carry on the way they are. There is no need for a lot of this, its a free game, A FREE GAME.

People PKing in town will be punished as on the test server. As a result of this little sceme I wouldn't be suprised if guards had their range reinstated. On top of that I recommend double stat loss for dieing from a guard.

The chinese are out of control today, they have been pking absolutely anyone including new players and impartial players.
They complain about dc's every 5 mins but I can be running around areas for well over 30 mins with them chasing me without dcing.......... |
