My suggestion is as follows :
Increase rested exp accrual over a 12 hour period, to give a larger % of rested exp. Then slow the accrual rate to how it is now from whatever % it will be at after the 12 hours. This will achieve the following : Give people who play solo a better chance to keep up. Make multying less of a bonus, as at the moment, having a multi is useful for people as if they are offline for 12 hours, they only gain 5% rested, so may as well multi through the night. Make 12 hours give around 20%, then slow it right down from there to normal rates. This way, some players who would have chosen to multi may choose not to. Also the solo players may be able to keep up a little bit better. *Yes, I am a solo player, and harbor no hatred towards multies, but the gaps are starting to widen.*

im all for a better amount of rested exp but I believe it has to be pin point accurate otherwise I think it would of been increased already.
as it stands I get a max of about 2% over night when im asleep (12 hours at max) where as a multi could easily gain 50% in that time depending on their lvl but multis exist and we have to live with them im afraid. just seems you cant enjoy gvw/wotw/pkfights/ssevent unless you multi or play a lot of hours a day. do feel sorry for those that love soma but don't have much time to play and participate in the main events it brings.

The way I see it their are 3 tiers of players;
1/very top who either multi or play an extreme mount of hours. 8+ hours everyday imo. 2/semi casuals who play continuously and steady every day but only around say 2-8hours 3/very casual who may pop on once every few days and play the game at their own pace for the joy and social side At the moment neither tier 2 or tier 3 can competitively compete in weekly events, which happens to be the majority of the population. I think they both need a boost in rested xp or similar but it is a balancing act and I don't have any sound solutions. For tier 2 I do agree that maybe at the 12hr logged off mark, you get a 'bonus' of 20%. Apart from that it continues at normal pace. I don't think this will shake things up too much. Maybe for tier 3 players let's give a faster rested xp gains after the first 30%. So you are looking at 100% rested xp after about 4 full days instead of 7ish. I do like the speed of the server and don't want things to pick up too much pace. However I think the argument regarding 'lvl cap' and we will eventually catch up is flawed. This argument would mean tier 2's and 3's are expected not to compete in weekly events until lvl 100? And by the time we get there the cap will be raised because the majority of the population will be hitting cap. We will then go through another stage of not competing. High lvls are bound to respond and state the argument that power is determined by playtime. That's fine, I agree. But I'm sure you would prefer a more competitive server and 20% boost per day will never be enough for us to catch tier 1's up.

As a solo player I can't help but like this thread but I think 20% is a crazy amount of rested exp to give away.#
