Ok so i brought a laptop few months ago nothing special was only just under £200 i have put soma onto it today but when im in game its that jumpy its unplayable.
I have changed the compatability mode to windows 7 and its no different and was just wondering if there is anything else i can try or if its just because its not a very good laptop lol. Any help or advise would be great. Under power settings if you have an option take it out of power saver mode, mines jumpy in that I have to run it in high performance mode and my laptops a lot more powerful than yours

Also make sure all drivers are up to date

happens with me sometimes... usually if windows wants/ has been updated...

Mate, soma sucks the life out of computers for some reason. I wouldn't be surprised if your laptop just hasnt got the power to run it.

Ur pc is still under powered, you would be better installing windows7 with whatever service pack needed.
I recently upgraded my pc from win7 to win10 for that update and it was really jumpy It was ddr2 8gb 1gb graphics, quad core amd 2.8 and it was fine with win7 but struggled to play soma. Now amd 8core 4.2 32gb ddr3 1900 twin 4gb graphics, ssd 2.5tb, runs fine :)

As shailo said though.. Best thing you could do is install windows 7 if thats an option for you.

I wondered whether there is something not freeing up process resources since how else would a game this old require such a chunk of modern processors capacity

"SHAILO" not enough ram tbh, and bet the graphic struggle My ram 16gb ddr2, radeon hd5750 1gb, quad core amd 2.8 has ran soma for the last 5 years fine on win7 and win10

One thing i will say is that it feels like im getting the old multi monitor bug on Windows 10 where it gets jumpy
