Hello,
So I've already had one card go kaput on me... no doubt from playing Soma over the years.. Today I played again and after a while of playing Myth of Soma crashed... and my 'Display driver stopped responding'. I opened up GPU-Z and alas none of the sensors are working... (Same thing that happened to my old card). I'm really hoping now I haven't managed to total another card... My cousin keeps droning on about how important it is not to have a high FPS on games because it does the card no good... I kinda didn't listen and well... I think now it's time to. Currently I'm using DXTory to limit my FPS to 60... However this only works in fullscreen mode and I really want to play in window mode... However in window mode my FPS went from 130 gradually upto 400 before I exited out... I can't total this card... if it's not already too late. So anyone know how I can limit / force an FPS on Myth of Soma whilst in window mode? Many Thanks.

Regardless of it's it's bollocks or not that doesn't help answer the question. I personally don't know how to fix the problem but I'm not a twat about it either... come on let's play nice!

"NOTMAT""NYMPHODORA" Bollocks x2. High fps is a result of an capable card, if the card was struggling then you're more likely to be overloading it. Soma runs on a calculator. Although if you want to limit FPS presuming you have an Nvidia card: Right click desktop>Nvidia Control Panel>Manage 3D settings>Program settings tab>Find or add somawindow.exe>Force Vertical sync on. that should limit fps to 60.

So the whole point of the post was based on the mongoloid opinion that higher fps is bad. That's total bollocks, therefore there is no problem to fix, so fuck off.

Did you help to explain it at alll? Did you give the option of lowering fps anyway regardless? No you decided to be a moron and add nothing except to be an arse. Well done on being helpful!

CRITICAL |
The 'Display driver not responding' message has nothing to do with too high fps.
Most of the time this problem occurs when overclocking the card and trying to puch it too far. Have you overclocked it? A gpu should be able to run on 99% of it's usage all the time regardless the fps. If you puch the TDP over that limit it can cause crashes. Have you checked the temp it runs on? Which GPU do you have?
