why do you keep quoting the same shit cause you have no clue? , this is not esoma , do you understand that ? the bow is set to 9 tiles regardless how much of the game you can see you retard, seriously 9 tiles doesnt scale up to more tiles , you have no clue.
ive got screenies ill post of me at range where i cant hit an ab , oh and guess what im only playing at 1280x768 imagine that . got killed by an archer today? telling me if i played spear at high res i can hit across the fkin screen? no its 2 tiles like always the tile amount that is hard coded into the game and has always been that .

The only reason the range is 9 was so archers could hit anything ON SCREEN when the game was developed.
The eSoma devs obviously took the lazy way and set it that high - let's not forget the original client couldn't be scaled up, and had to play at 800x600. You only have to look at the affect large resolutions have at WotW - no opportunity for any flanking as you can pretty much see from any direction. tbh if the range isn't reduced, the client should be restricted down to 800x600 again. Thinking about it they should be reduced to same range as Apus attacks.

Flanking ROFL all combat is done standing still , how many battles with archers you having , 99% of them at in your face or feathering around. affect at wotw ? what humans pop out weaken and run back in safe zone for the whole hour? waiting for devs to be nerfed to an easy mode

Bow is only useful for killing noobs and interrupting mages, who quite frankly have it far better off on this server than any other. Bow is only unfair on those who didnt have the option to use it...

Archers choose bow to hit mobs from a distance, u wouldn't see a real life archer run 5yards away from the target just to hit it would you, get a grip, there is nothing wrong with the range of bow. Honestly people are perfetic n complain about daft stuff

If an archer did 300dmg with 45th, that's 265 damage+35(4th) You've 82str so on a 100% v 100% fight against you naked, an archer would need at least 347 attack to hit you for 300. Bare in mind during WOTW devils are on 60%, so an archer would need almost 579 attack to almost deal 300 damage with 4th. Considering no archer in game has ANYWHERE NEAR 400 attack and would require and extra 179 attack to simply deal 300 damage to you while you're NAKED, how much more attack would he need to deal 300 damage to you when you have your HERO gear equipped? Assuming you have all Melee Hero parts, you'd have 36~56 extra defense. I think you see where i'm going with this. Don't lie about damage you take, the game is incredibly simple to work out what really happened.

Bow has already been nerfed, reducing the range at this point is to late. If range is reduced then dodge should be upped.

Even though this is not E soma, there does need to be a point at which range on a melee weapon must be reigned in.
The best thing to come out of the bow range nerf is the inability to easily cliff Shanis and mobs of that nature. Saying that anyone can just up their res and play that way is not a valid argument, the game comes in a standard res, and all mechanics should gravitate around that. No one knows why the range was 9 even though the res on e soma was smaller, I doubt anyone ever will. Even though passionate archers are venting their point, I suggest being less vocal, as there are always trolls who will just harvest your tears.
