"LUPISCUS"Soma is hardly difficult to get the general idea of for a new player. Always people to ask.. nothing is majorly complicated. this is sounding more relevant to the state of the game rather than 'fixing basics.' Basics is making the game playable for all players, not just a select few

Soma doesnt need marketing .. it can sell itself. Just needs a good update.... people pass on by word of mouth to friends/ old guildies etc.
What is needed .. imo... is a more rigorous GM presence and punishment of ppl taking the pee.
The server's been allowed to turn into a 1 guild ' take the piss'' and nothing happens. seemingly with no consquences.
Hopefully..with an update , some measures are put in place to at least curtail this, and maybe some more harsh punishments.
Many players now that are left...will not come back under the present system of pee taking.
Sad thing is.. these players would want to return... but some more ''policing'' is needed.
Only thing needed is a more fair ''playing field'' .. measures to stop pee takers .. make things less hostile...( mayb a pve map) and give ppl half a chance to play without constant harrassment and give those players a chance to get some drops and make some equips to compete with all the +6-7-8 gears/accessories that have eluded most. ( half of dl players have joined them bcuse they were constantly pk'd or harrassed )
Old players aint gona be coming back.. no matter how good the update is..with piss taking like it is atm... and thats the biggest prob......

Are you actually deluded enough to think people still would spend cash monies on this game?? I personal do not know ANY one who is still paying for there chars to be leveled and as for n0legs I think one great thing to have come from piloting back in the days is we have 3 or 4 Phillipino players who now still play just for fun.

There are some legitimate points... to be honest we know selling of characters exist (stupid if you ask me, particularly when some of the buyers haven't donated once). However, it's difficult to prove and also the owners can always request them back.
Back on topic: I'd love someone to dedicate time to marketing but it wouldn't be a paid role it would likely be an advisor role (trust is an issue). End of the day the community will (like it or not) dictate how much time we spend working on this. If the community is poisonous and self destructive we will concentrate our efforts elsewhere. I'm not going to sit here and blame a particular guild (although if I spot you folllowing me around irl again it won't end well 🤓) as there are a few bad eggs in many guilds. However, be mindful of the company you keep and facilitate. All the best, Dan
