It definitely is but...
Give it a few months when people have accuracy gear and people have upgraded speed weapons and we will probably see a thread entitled: Bow is too overpowered compared to everything else Discuss. |

Only solution would be to slow down int gains, but that is never going to happen as people are at different stages of int (Someone like me, who has high int, would gain massively as someone who has low int will have to spend more time doing int than i did...)
At different times during the server, different things will be worth using... There are certain things which cannot be changed which are hardwired into the game, such as bow being a ranged weapon... Int too strong? Do int then Bow is better than every other weapon endgame? Do bow then And then another few months down the line when someone is running around with 5th sword, we will see another thread entitled: 5th Sword is too overpowered Discuss.

Reducing damage cap would solve this but imo it wont be done because it would upset certain ppl. |

Damage cap being lowered by a certain amount is the only reasonable option at the moment.

PVP wise almost everything here still remains very similar to the test server, (Bow has range reduced, Acc/Eva reduced a bit), But for the most part it still remains the same.
The damage cap remains the same as it was on the test server currently. Lets take a look at a few test server videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TlaYHNExig http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZ-MmCQZDYU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBuA0HSPay8 How many of these people do you see wearing INT robes? How many of these people are actually using int? Give it time and it will be like this on the current server too.

The e tag weapons on show in those vids won't be in this server however, nor will people be running around with 410str.

If you want to put it that way...Int cap was 354 on test, and still almost nobody used it

You can't compare end game test server with end game BoH.
I think the tweaks to int, dp, ke and sp will bring warriors more inline with mages. |

"TIOKZ"PVP wise almost everything here still remains very similar to the test server, (Bow has range reduced, Acc/Eva reduced a bit), But for the most part it still remains the same. Most of these videos were taken when the magic cap was 1/2 the current cap. Secondly most people had 1500+ hp and +100 hp pots. The only way to kill them was with pure burst - i.e timed sword 5th - not steady and reliable int damage. Str was also at 410 and int only around 210, completely different to 170 str and 170 int that may be reachable on this server.

Not forgetting there's already next to no reason to do INT after 110 and the majority of the server is going to be doing the majority of there melee leveling using rested at higher levels.

"TIOKZ"If you want to put it that way...Int cap was 354 on test, and still almost nobody used it int cap was 328 for 90% then it got changed to 372 i think when new mobs apeared ..... but fujis posts pretty much covers everything.there will be always a time ppl will whine for something its near impossible to achieve perfect balance people needs to realise this and adapt to every situation for their needs in order to counter it. "jiuce" The e tag weapons on show in those vids won't be in this server however, nor will people be running around with 410str. doesnt really matter as far as hp/stat gains becoz as you saw in the vids everything was balanced there it needed quite abit of effort to kill some1 at group pvp.

I'm not sure you understand the point I was trying to make. Mellee at end game test server was preferable over magic due to the sustainable dps achievable with the weapons and upgrades available. Added to the burst dmg from auras. Plus the str cap was +60 on int cap. Again I say, you can't compare end game test server with end game BoH...

MANTICOREthere will be always a time ppl will whine for something its near impossible to achieve perfect balance Sorry for the misunderstanding, I was only stating a fact for open discussion. This is the "The Discussion Hall" after all. :-) I agree with people. At a point in the Near future there will come a time when theres almost no Mages. But I also think that this isnt the case you see. The current Active players every day is about 180+. Imagive even 100+ at gvw. There would be soo many people to target. (Mostly trying to kill person on STONE). Mages will have a part because they will always deal damage to those not wearing INT robes and even if for example a certain someone has 10-20 more int than someone else they will deal lots of damage even with the target wearing INT robes. SILENCENot forgetting there's already next to no reason to do INT after 110 and the majority of the server is going to be doing the majority of there melee leveling using rested at higher levels. I agree with most of this. It will only take one person to get around 120/130 INT for others to follow.

Mages have their downfalls, when they are levelling Intelligence for weeks, their enemies are levelling Strength and Dexterity, the longer this carries on, the more warriors hit 80+ Dexterity, and the harder mages lives become.
Intelligence is an easy ride mid game, but it starts to become greatly overshadowed by melee in a very rapid fashion.
