Grim bows

Ive got over 1100 beast claws from hunting minotaurs and personally id say the drop rate hasn't been increased. With the chance of gaining a mal bow in the same area now instead the rates have probably decreased.

As ghostlord pointed out.

There is no mention of drop increases in the patch!

Its just us being stupid.

Was only tag chance changed, and spawn drops merged!

I concur, appears chance of grim drop is down in the well known area of minos. I can semi understand why they may of done this, but it's made it a pointless endeavor now.

All minotaurs (on the same map) will now drop grim bows. The drops have been merged.

The actual drop rates are untouched for now.

its just low usercount that hunt them atm

Its not.

Since the patch there have been loads hunting them. And its not the usual level 50's . Its all capped players running around 3 hitting them,

Theres well over 1000 of them dieing an hour,

Its getting back to pre patch now, less and less people logging devils as there is still nothing to do/ farm apart from magmas.

I really cant see why a 10minute fix that would boost the devil usercount by so much hasnt being done already!

We are not asking for a massive boost, just enough to get 1 maybe 2 weps dropped in a hunt or every coupke of hours!

The devil usercount shouldnt make it so we have less drops.

If were putting in more effort we should get equal or better drops.

Its same with recent events.

Oh only 5 devils on.. only need to spawn a gorshak and humans get 30+ edw and kolvar

Which does equate to less chance of a grim drop, as some of the drops will be mals (whereas before we could stick to just a grim area). As Jr says it would be nice for drop rate to be upped as I spent ten hours just to get a couple untagged, which is worse than pre patch. As Jr also says that's a level 100 3 hitting them so kill rate is insanely high.

Drop rate across the board needs upping tbh, it would get more people farming.

Do appreciate the recent work though, it just needs a few tweaks.

how about add grim,som's to magma drop since those wepaon are usefull in dsoma

Id prefer not to have them at magmas and to farm them from other mobs. End of the day you need these weapons level 60 to hunt with!
Spamming magmas with all the best weapons and upgrades is all good but you need some rewards from hunting, we dont have frogs, herbs, LL etc We dont even have mobs that drop gems. We dont get stats untill level up.
There is no reward for hunting apart from %, this is what puts everyone off dsoma!

Yeah I understood that from Isylver's replies in previous threads about drops not being touched.

But I experienced a really high number of untag drops both prepatch and postpatch.

However from what I saw when I played on Hsoma nub mobs like lizardmen in Abias were dropping epic tagged armour at a much better rate. Made it so much more interesting.

My original argument was I didn't think the increased tagged system was working on normal dsoma mobs as well as the hsoma equivalent - I had about 3 untag SoD's in a row in continental area mal. Even if perhaps conti was hardened minimum.

Thought the idea of bosses dropping rare minimum was great.

Tbh rates were raised a lot and I suppose you could look at Dsoma now and say it in such a way as to say leveling is easier but items are a challenge and are still tough to come by which I can understand.

I guess it comes down to farming and how much you want the items.

In my honest opinion if you want a chance of a decent grim bow drop and are willing to put the hours in then normal mob wise stick to infernal caves KL.

But in future as JR says they need to be on a drop file that is accessible for the people needing them and for me WBM dropfile needs the work, other options are to make Hwan minos the same as conti minos and sort the dropfile.

I don't think any one player wants to see them dropping every 5 mins but a potential supply and a revision of the untag system to make varied stat but uncombinable weps would go someway to help.
