"SCOIN"As I said to lordcoos today, im in no race, I have plenty of time to waist. he admitted he doesn't plan to level cap his char like I do, so this begs the question what is a throw away character? Mine isn't because i'm happy to reach my goals in how ever long it takes I just want to make a comment on this part, not related to lordcoos but in general. Not everyone can reach the cap for many reasons, some already know they'll not reach the cap but that doesn't mean they're throw away characters because they have no plans to hit the 100.

I quite like the video and this topic. It was a rather kindhearted thread and I'd like to commend Scoin on taking it so lightly - you can really see he plays for fun - the only way to play.
From an advisor point of view this wouldn't be a bannable offence since it was shown clearly that he was toying with his PKers rather than asking them to stop (I actually laughed a few times). NOTE: I'm going on this video alone, I don't take into account any other events where the same has occured. So a tip for people recording such a video with the reason to show harassment: - Ask the person to stop - if it's a guild try contacting the guild leader - Don't taunt - Make the assailent aware that you feel that you're being harassed, gather evidence and report to your Advisor or Isylver As for who looks worse? In my opinion it's Lordcoos and Zyzz hands down.

So If I decide to let these dumb asses kill me over and over to reduce their moral to a level that would take them a long time to recover from my char would be considered a throw away char? if that's the case then what option is open to someone who is getting harassed at every spawn by people who are many levels higher? I think I would rather be harassed by low level nub throw away chars that I could kill over and over than by someone who I have no way of retaliating against. To that you could say, "well go and get others to help you" and we would end up with the situation that you guys are moaning about with the Chinese. or you could say " then go take revenge on lower level members of the guild in question" and we would end up with the situation that you guys are moaning about with the Chinese. It all comes back to the point I was making that made me a target, a point that these guys have helped me prove by doing exactly what I said they do. Harassing people! Where do we go from here is the question! Banning people for 5 days or what ever doesn't solve the issue because they just come back with even more of a score to settle and the problem continues. A better deterrent would be for chars to have levels and stats reduced rather than bans.

I was going to post my thoughts, but then Ghostlord said pretty much everything I was thinking.
I suppose I'm biased though. I tend to think that PKers always look worse. Even if they're provoked, the second they start killing they're in the wrong from my perspective. Soma is a game that shows more clearly than any real life example how the "fight back" mentality some people have (like when kids get bullied at school) does no good whatsoever. Just continues the cycle of poor behavior until nobody can even remember who started it any longer.

This wouldn't be a bad idea. But my understanding is that bans get longer until they eventually become permabans. And if people are using throwaway characters, removing stats isn't really going to fix that issue.
But the best solution for all of these problems would be for people to finally grow up and act like mature adults.[/quote]

I've asked if he is intending to harass me to which he replied YES the only taunts I've given are "boring" I even went down to do int at pris in vod and was followed there too lol Ill try pming Zao but I doubt it will do any good :( I'm not trying to get anyone banned or get anyone's stats reduced, my intension was to show them for what they are which I feel I've now done. the point of taking video was because from the sound of it, that is what they had done to get the Chinese banned, so I thought it would be fun to see how they like the same being done to them. I should be crafting rather than running around waiting to be attacked but I felt donating a little of my crafting time to prove a point was worth it. crafting does get a tad tedious. lets see what happens now!
