Drastic overhaul of guild system

So with all of this guild related talk going on I was thinking - Whats the point of a guild? Why do people join guilds? The answer is quite simple - for 95% of people the answer is the social aspect / guild chat etc, there really isn't any other "benefit" of being in a guild besides the perks of GV holders.

So we come to the next point GVW & the village. Whilst owning the village is nice but most people will agree people want to see fun / active gvw wins where the winner can be any guild at any week. This would be best for the server also.

So how can we have the best of the two paragraphs at once.
1) Set guild limit to 10 & increase council spots to 10 (10 is a round number, 9 isnt)
2) Introduce "Chat channels" These can be password protected or an invite required from leader to join. This way you can still have a "Coven" Guild chat or "Arcanix" guild chat with 30/40/100 members where you can still chat / socalise and do everything you could do previously as a guild.
3) Introduce a control on joining / leaving guilds (You can only join / leave a guild every 2 weeks or similar) - This is not really necessary but would stop hopping or bending the rules.
4) Archive off current GV win totals in a "hall of fame" and start a new win count.

Now you effectively have best of both worlds, with 10 people guilds it create inter-group competition. Everyone should want to win for their own guild. With the chat channels you can have much bigger social groups. DL/Dominance could have a chat with 50/60 members but only a group of 10 can own / win the guild village.

This is an idea, posted in the Ideas & Suggestions forum. Obvoiusly what I've posted here doesnt have to be set in stone and there may be tweaks that could make it better so make your suggestions.

Although I agree with some ideas but some others I do disagree with, I disagree with limiting guilds to 10 players, if you limited a guild to 10 players and made a chat for everyone to join, say you have 2-3 Coven or DL guilds then all those will do is swap the GV to each guild so the GV Stat Reduction doesn't go down too far. Too many flaws imo
