Hello ^_^. New mage armour? HSOMA

I've been looking a lot at all the updates and additions that have been added to this server.

And I noticed that Nightmare armour is the last mage set of armour.

In comparison to warrior armour which is Titus at 125 STR req and also Bitter Bone 105/109 STR req. But most people as I've noticed upgrade their Tagged Bone armour. And I've never seen tagged Nightmare - because there really is no use for it -. So I'm a bit sad in that regard.

So I was thinking maybe mages needed some love and implement a new mage armour 125 INT req?
And also in the future I would love to see TANk oriented upgrades.

I think that the current last armour for mages is really weak vs upgraded MA items etc. Which consequently forces to use full MA as it has more benefits.

Furthermore I've had a look through most of the active guilds in HSOMA and found that there's very little tank orientated characters. And I think its because of the lacck of content that there is to offer for a tank.

And on the contrary, there is a vast amount of DPS upgrades for DPS chars, which nullifies nightmare armour (if you are hitting with magic ofc) to be useful.

I see GVWS on youtube and I don't really see anyone wearing Nightmare armour, But I see a lot of mages!

A 125 set would be cool, but having a full 125intelligence set with presumably all intelligence,magic attack or magic defense upgrades would be quite OP no? The Titus set available right now is end game armor for strength and intelligence, because of the different upgrades it gives, (5% accuracy,3~12 MA,5~15 attack,5% evasion) - it almost acts as another hero set.

but I gotta admit, I like the idea of a 125int set, but IMO it shouldn't be offering anything near the current Titus set.

Ok, so lets take into account Nightmare armour.

NM Hat - Defence 3-4 / Magic Defence 5-6 (100%) 88 INT REQ
NM Robe - Defence 2-9 / Magic Defence 7-11 (100%) 93 INT REQ
NM Pants - Defence 2-10 / Magic Defence 6-11 (100%) 97 INT REQ
NM Shoes - Defence 4-6 / Magic Defence 4-9 (100%) 86 INT REQ

What I think we should also have is an upgrade from Nightmare at around 125 INT REQ. Maybe something like this;

Elders Hat - Defence 6-8 / Magic Defence 10-12 (100%) 122 INT REQ
Elders Robe - Defence 4-11 / Magic Defence 14-18 (100%) 127 INT REQ
Elders Pants - Defence 4-12 / Magic Defence 12-18 (100%) 131 INT REQ
Elders Shoes - Defence 8-10 / Magic Defence 8-13 (100%) 120 INT REQ

P.S I just came up that name, pretty dope if you ask me! ;D, anyway.

I think that it would be a great implement into the game as we see soo many mages that pretty much 2-3 hit everyone. It would be nice to at least have the reaction time to pot/syrum before you were dead. But on a more serious note I really think this armour needs to be added for balancing reasons!

And maybe more tank upgrades in the future so people can choose to be tanks if they desire.

Yea think it's been said before but it would be niceness to see md in place of the 'defence' of that means it has 0 melee defence so be it they are robes after all, Just like mellee armours doesn't have md
That way it would allow
People to upgrade it and maybe it would become more
Widely used?

Mages may be hit a lot higher and die quickly however maybe it could be implemented and balanced out. +1

new mage armor is kinda pointless for hsoma tho cause there are kinda 2 types of characters right now Mage and dex chars which none of those even use NM set.

DEX chars dont have the int
Mage chars have 167+int and dont really use NM set they can farm nms naked and they use their BiS gear to farm magz

@Maticore

I am very much aware of the two types of chars everyone makes.

I believe that adding a new mage armour will entice players to build differently!

And maybe in addition to adding a new set of mage armour they could implement tank upgrades for + defence and + Magic Defence.

int armors md is kinda irrelevant their most important stat is how well rolled def is cause that matters the most cause by using int armors u loose shitloads of def and from pvp perspective is a big no no no and believe it or not soma is a PVP/RVR game
