It is the lowest skill value that goes down and it cannot be the skill type of the magic you cast. Therefore looking at that those screenshots.
When using white magic blue will go down and when white magic skill goes above black magic skill then the black magic skill goes down when using blue magic. Only a single magic skill can go down or up at the same time.

Ok. I always thought blue never went down. As you can only be either black or white mage and blue was secure. I had 100 blue and 100 black skill before changing to white. So neither was my lowest skill.
Guess I'll be fireballing for a while |

Black and White skill will go down before Blue magic skill if and only if Blue magic skill is not the lowest.
There was a bug where the magic skill of Blue, White, and Black would go slightly over 100 skill (the inc amount that pushed it over 100) it was fixed a while ago but didn't change the skill values of existing characters with the bug therefore even though say both White and Blue had 100.0 skill in the character status the White magic skill value might have been higher than the Blue therefore when changing to Black magic the Blue magic skill will go down. I have checked the code and it is being done exactly the same as esoma and still using the esoma code for reducing the magic skill. Currently there are 131 characters who are white mage that would have this problem when switching to black and there are 41 characters who are black mage that would have this problem when switching to white. During downtime for an update to the server I will try to remember to go fix the above characters and make sure the magic skill is set exactly to 100 skill.

i find it strange that you find this normal finito. In all my years of soma i have never heard of blue going down. Only black and white. I doubt it was ever intended for this to happen as that wouldnt make any sense.

"JAHEIRA"indeed, even on esoma I swoped from 100 blue 100 white to black and didn't have this issue Re-read my post above. Right, I have looked into this more and have ran the original game server and that does decrease blue magic skill as expected when it is the lowest but it was decreasing it by the wrong value (so the reason why blue magic didn't seem to go down at all when it was the lowest magic skill is because of a bug in the original code). So what has happened is when the magic decrease was re-implemented here on this server it is being done within the function that increases the magic skill therefore it decreases by the correct amount when over the 200 skill cap. When changing from Black to White magic every ingame soma hour that passes it will decrease the Black magic by 1.0 skill. This explains both the Black and Blue magic skill going down. Anyway, it should probably be changed so that Blue magic never goes down or just remove the decreasing of the magic skill because it never worked correctly, the 1.0 decrease every soma hour for Black/White is good enough and don't need to enforce the 200 skill cap. Edit: The problem is now fixed. Code that used to enforce a 200 magic skill cap has been removed and the change is live on the server.

I think if you choose white then every soma hour you lose x amount of black skill. So no you cannot be both xoxoxox

"OPENTHEDOOR"Finito are you saying we could be white and black magic. And ignore blue? Sounds like it but I belive there's a flag that stats what mage u are, for example if u only just swoped over I don't belive you can use your last magic even if u still have the skill
