Today I found out that on the tyt dummy my level 4 lightsword damage is capped at 440 where level 4 ss is capped at 500.
Is this only the case at the dummy that has like zero magic defense? I seen other spells (from other users) doing like 640 damage on the dummy .. they not capped? => At bosses and in pvp in general there would not be a big difference in using lightsword compared to ss?

Magic isn't caped anymore
I do belive lightsword has more power than Ss. So realy don't know what your looking at Maybe the lvl 4 Ss has more int than you thus doing more dmg ? |

Nah chewie tried the level 4 SS and he is also capped at 500 on dummy ... im capped at 440 with level 4 lightsword
Even if i wear extra ma / int gear I still do same damage[/quote]

Duno then, havnt seen a devil mage hit a caped yet, so don't think that's the issue

The damage cap for magic is Spell power x10 I believe. Dragon breath used to cap at 200 with weaken on Esoma? Now caps at 640. 32 power x10 x2 (weaken).
So technically if someone had high enough MA they could still weaken +1 hit a lvl 80+ devil with dragons breath. Without sounding like a bitter body I don't think there needs to be any increase to any spells lol. Haven't played Hsoma in a long time but there's probably speed difference and MP use difference between the 2 spells in question, which would be the reason they have slightly different power.
