This thread is a simple thread, I am interested to see people's replies to the following five questions about the server to date.

One thing you like.
One thing you do not like.
One change from esoma you like.
One change from esoma you dislike.
One thing you would like to change now.

One thing you like:
To have a stabe server that is constantly updating and changing based on users opinion.

One thing you do not like:
The speed at which a small number of people have managed to out progress the majority of players in such a small amount of time leaving a big dividend

One change from esoma you like:
Crafting change

One change from esoma you dislike:
Weapon and armor requirements increase

One thing you would like to change now:
Reduce the weapon and armor requirement increase.

One thing you like:
The time and effort being put into the server for longevity and stability.

One thing you do not like:
The number of changes made on a whim due to some players complaining constantly, and the general acceptance of multies pushing the game forward at accelerated rates.

One change from esoma you like:
Constitution not forced upon you at level 1/brics to remain competitive.

One change from esoma you dislike:
Knuckle no longer being a viable solo weapon.

One thing you would like to change now:
Although i would like to see knuckle gains buffed, i think it needs to be the "whine and win" mentality losing it power.

pretty much the same as this :) players will always progress faster then others though since ..some people have more time to play and others don't waste time in tyt like me :D

Lack of gv turn out under the mentality of "I'm too low a level to participate"

One change from esoma you like.
Second staff aura!

One change from esoma you dislike.
Eva nerfs

One thing you would like to change now.
Clear concise definitive rule list which also result in clear concise undebatable punishment.

One thing you like.
The stability, involvement and presence of GMs and advisors within the community.

One thing you do not like.
Standard soma community behaviour. Im not the best, i want to be, so ill multi, hack, cheat, moan.

One change from esoma you like.
Crafting change, although bagweight buffs shud be increased

One change from esoma you dislike.
Rested Exp. Im a casual player myself. It is aimed at me. But I feel it is exploitable. Great concept, but can maybe do with some slight tweaking.

One thing you would like to change now.
As a mid-low level not much really aimed at me at the mo, but I would say simply usercount. Id like it to be more, so if i could change one thing, Id like a more active push from the publicity side of the server.

Current implementation of Tag System is % based, as such, it benefits higher value figures which creates larger gaps in strength and creates balancing issues. (e.g. Devil vs human armour, Melee items vs. Mage items).

One change from esoma you like.
Implementation of war of the world's balance system. Albeit uneccessary on Esoma as the turnouts were larger and the gap in power from Hsoma and Dsoma weren't as large as here.

One change from esoma you dislike.
Not so much a 'change' as it is a lack of content.
Abyss no longer exists (along with accessories), endgame magic monsters on both races don't exist, endgame staff doesn't exist, neither does the endgame spell - that's pretty much it.

One thing you would like to change now.
Garg shaman and EGF on Conti, new magic monster & Endgame staff.

Agree about the rested exp, it was implemented to help casuals or lower levels catch up with the hardcore players, but it actually benefits the high levels much more than anyone else.

Also agree about the 10% requirement increase, i really depise this change. It's not so bad at really low levels but when you realise you have to gain an extra 9 skill for a weapon you should already be able to use it's seriously de-motivating.

The effort given freely to provide this game for an ever shrinking community.

One thing you do not like.
Fast early rates and lv 20 rested, I feel this contributes to issues later in game.

One change from esoma you like.
The variable tag system on drops.

One change from esoma you dislike.
Game changes which alter the world that is already behind many players.

One thing you would like to change now.
Slow the rates, remove 20 lvl rested, reset 10% weapon, human conti for 3 wks (no wotw), raise human requirements for human magic (to help avoid grief play), keep town resting system, and wipe.

Though the cap is still long away

Interesting thread I like it!

As for those asking for rules, I agree and we're in the process of formalizing them. Please check this thread and leave your comments.

To do for the rules:
- Add a rule on pos farming (creating lvl 16 chars and using them only for the pos)
- Talk to iSylver about adding the punishments
- Put them on the website or as a forum sticky

We plan to formalize them somewhere this weekend.
