My thoughts on DSoma changes from a non-capped perspective having played a variety of different chars.

Stat allocation:
Broadly speaking defensively characters are at or better defense with new stats than previously and the first few levels of a new character are much, much easier.

I think the biggest issues for many low/mid level characters will be:
1. Slower xp due to lower damage from going from 61-99 skill weapons to 33-55 skill weapons
2. Sourcing weapons and armor can be difficult especially after having & sold/donated good items having to start again might put many of the more casual usercount off playing.

A potential solution to 2 could be amending the drop files for a number of mobs to make them more appropriate for the new system i.e. AB dropping demonic and 55 skill weps, EB dropping dread and 61-69 skill weps, KL drop Supreme and 91-99 skill weapons with WBM dropping invul and 121+ skill weapons.

I also think mage needs a bit of a re-think as they don't level on the same path as melee and will be pretty redundant in PvP with new stats. I would suggest either increasing stat allocation so mages can wear at least dread or creating mid/high level INT armor with high defense and no MD, or fairly good +evasion and have it drop from Drazil Druid or Fallen Troll etc.

Not sure how you deal with the punched character issue that all that progress will be lost.

I think my final thought is whilst I don't particularly dislike the new stat system I don't really see what the benefit is for the game and DSoma community over the existing stat system that justifies the overhaul and alienating a large number of core players. I would therefore suggest rather than pressing the nuclear button and forging ahead with an unpopular system that we find some other way of dealing with whatever the main issue you have with DSoma stats is.

The test server experience in relation to availability of some levels of gear is reflective of the beginning of the server for hsoma. The answer is crafting, or at least it was for humans.

And with ghost working on armour crafting, it's likely with a bit of work you can get access to all the gear you need.

There are some good devil crafters around

I played dsoma for the reason you didnt have to craft to compete now I have no choice. On a different note im not sure how nerfing the available int is going to help. I have 100+ int at 63 via punching and now I have 60 int so gg.

Getting another patch released for public test server as soon as possible. This is aimed at being the final version that will be applied to the live server.

The current plan:
Fix test server crashes.

Fix reported bugs.

Revert the removal of weapon skill requirement for Devil Soma weapons. At this time there are issues created by the removal and decided it best to revert the change.

Stat points given per level up are going to be adjusted so that it is not linear. Higher levels will result in more points given compared to lower levels. However overall the amount of points given over all levels will be roughly the same.
Requirements for equipment will be adjusted where needed due to the change in stat points given on level up.

Requirements for armors will be significantly reduced and will be experimenting (trialing) having the stat requirements be Con and Wis instead of Str and Int.

Let me know if you think I am missing anything from the above that is important enough to be addressed before it can be released onto the live server.
