Dear folks,
without naming names, you know who you are, I would like to issue an official warning to everyone. Lately there's been a lot of foul language about from all sides of the community. It's hurting not only the people you are targeting but also the game community itself. It puts off new players as well as the existing old players and the GM's. As such, please notice that logging onto a low level character does not protect you from bans on your main. The same goes for people who share accounts. If you share an account with someone who has a bad temper or does not know how to control his typing hands, I would suggest being careful as it can be penalized. Since it comes from all camps, I don't want to hear 'you shouldn't report' or 'this guild is responsible'. This is something we all have to work on. Take screenshots / videos of people who excessively call names or make fun of people. This includes making fun of disease, gender, age or any other hurtful topics. If someone is being mean to you, either through words or pking, don't retaliate with harsh words as this will only add fuel to the fire. This is a serious issue which effects all of us. Allocating strikes and potential permanently banning someone for swearing or taking the mick ( no matter how offensive) to me just seems crazy. I think a maximum of a 1 week ban otherwise you can just remove the players chat function like Isylver did to Matthew. People have a right to free speech and freedom of expression whether people agree, disagree or find what they are saying objectionable or offensive. These changes are encroaching on that . These freedoms are protected under article 10 of the human rights act. People imposing restrictions (whether they are governments, employers or anyone else) must be able to demonstrate the need for them, and they must be proportionate. All of this has to be backed up by safeguards to stop the abuse of these restrictions and incorporate a proper appeals process.

Setstatus gives you the freedom to post on the homepage of the site (which new players will use to judge a games suitability). If you use this feature to display foul language on the site then yes.

The only issue with the 3 strike ban is that some player have been here a few years.. and some a couple of months...
There is / was people playing this game that spend ALL day EVERY day on it.. to not lose your temper 3 times and say a few harsh words over such a long time span is to ideal ! Taking the wee out of disabilities should be instantly perm though

How long you have a played is no indication of how many rules you can break. It doesn't matter if you started on day one or just yesterday.

It doesn't matter if you started on day one or just yesterday. no but i think what hes getting at is a long term player has 3 minor strikes over 3 years and is perm banned compaired to someone whos only played year and perm banned has to be a point when there strikes are wiped clean (at least the minor offences)
