I think both sides of the war can all at least agree on the fact that the battle in the throne room once it gets there and outside is by far the best and most fun part.

What about if we just removed the safe zone full stop , or only allow below a certain lvl inside if they want to have a look at the fights ect, when people keep talking about teamwork and such , i dont think humans lined up picking some poor soul then all out nuke and back in is anyway fun , would be much more interesting imo if both sides had to warp in and think on there feet and quickly get organized without the safety net.

People pre casting slows and other spells pop out then back in and rinse+repeat is a lame practice, dont give people the option , just make it do or die like the throne room , far more intense and more action.

on a side note i also believe that being this way would also be much better for adjusting and seeing the effects of the current % Balance as its a "War" everyone is involved if they warp there.

Maybe add a 5-10 second immunity on warping in and no tp's .

This is a general idea i am sure there are improvements and such but what do other people think?

This wouldn't need to be a game change just a method change.
If players, well mainly devils would not go to the edge of the safe zone, allowing humans this option, either warp random or warp safe and just go to castle set up.
Not many players will stand in a safe zone if there's nothing to watch.

It would be cool to see fights going on all over the castle map

don't think taking it away would solve everything, humans just woudnt turn up at all

might be a idea to set a level req on warping to safe zone, so every one higher has to random warp, maybe have a barrior on gates out of castle also

I love to see WOTW more concentrated in the actual castle area but that doesn't mean the safe zone has to be deleted.

EG:

Relocate safe zone to the area where you would TP back to castle from conti (inbetween the 2 mini bridges and the throne room) make a section of that area the safe zone this would concentrate PVP more in the castle area making good use of the paths and back alleys of the castle area for more isolated PVP.

This would hopefully reduce the 'pooling' of multiple Devils or Humans waiting outside the safe zone for someone to strike and give more confidence to smaller groups of players.

Even removing the "safe zone" all together and having "safe spots" (of like 6 spaces max) dotted around the castle would spread pvp out massively. Also remove "warp to safe zone".

Would it be possible that everyone in the castle gains pos slowly.... a little bit like rested exp...

tbh it's a bit of a toughie to sort out.

As soon as I get targeted by 1-3 archers it switches from "hit a devil" to "run the fook away as quick as poss" - even with 84str/70dex the dev archers dont miss and 4ths take 1/5 -> 1/4 health.

without groups forming outside the safezone I probably wouldn't bother leaving it - safety in numbers and all that jazz but humans don't stand a chance without 5-6 backups, and anywhere in castle isn't big enough to allow these size of groups to move about easily without individuals getting picked off quickly.

it's very evident in the throne room also - anyone not in a group around a stone as a human is picked off fairly easily, whereas the lone dev's are able to survive easier.

See the part about having 1-3 archers, while u see what your getting at kinda, no disrespect meant here but I don't think human or devil if all if a sudden come across odds they don't fancy, can just pop into a step away immunity at will. And not fair to the attackers being so easily denied.

Basically I feel that it needs to have that sink or swim approach, ppl have to bunch up and work together or fail.
It really stagnated the war to a borefest, throne is far more exciting because if the fact people really don't want to die and have to pull out all the stops!.

I also believe that using a to back to tyt/pand during war from castle area shouldn't be allowed.

Im sure you aware that currently humans can tank devils, but devils cant tank humans.

Lets not compare low level humans with high lvl devs.

I really like this idea.
But i don't think it'll be good for another 2 months or so. let the mid-levels catch up so Humans don't just warp in on 2 top Devils and get instantly killed and like wise for mid-level Devils.

As you say, you're trying to encourage group pvp, if so wotw needs to be at a state where Devils have to time their 4ths and Humans have to co-ordinate better as a small group. It's slowly getting like that already, just little longer :P
Also dex is an issue, Humans need to get their upgrades. Devils just don't miss so we have to sit in safe zone to pre-cast.

Throne room is the best part of wotw and I can't wait till it's like that for the full hour.

Would be cool to have appearing and disappearing safe spots through WoW as well as a stable one. I think the current SZ could stay if we add let's say everyonein throne room gets 10 pos a minute whereas everyone in the castle area gets 1 pos a minute.

I don't know if this is possible, but would be cool to play around with it.

human's cannot tank devils. and devils cannot tank humans.

human's with a bag full of +100hp can tank devils, devils with a bag full of +100hp can tank humans for a lot longer.

With the exception of perhaps monster you couldn't do the same..
