"PATHOLOGIST"Its fine. If you have lots of hours to put in it is fine. I personally think it is slow and with the increased requirement on new weapons I am finding the game less and less appeaing the more I play. The gap between the weapons is ridiculous for instance slayer axe to hard club etc. It becomes very boring having the same weapon for an eternity and only getting a few skill per night. I play setting targets and like new weapons to make a change, three times this weekend I have nearly quit (hooray i hear you cheer). I cannot for the life of people undertand now people have SR, all that int and 1-2 4th auras on one char... it is sickening.

Skill only feels slow because of weapon mixing and the fact that you're paying too much attention to it.
If you played a pure weapon on Hsoma, your skill wouldn't trail your Stats, your Stats would trail your skill. |

"MANTICORE""S0RCERER"Skill only feels slow because of weapon mixing and the fact that you're paying too much attention to it. You'll find that you gain skill faster than stats purely because weapon damage is high. This means less hits to kill each monster and as you also hunt monsters that are far stronger than yourself, you gain far more stats per level. People start Conti ABs as early as late 30's as an archer and yet they have 130+str. Imagine a level 30 human hunting Drazil...

"KNUTSEL"is it me or it seems that skill is very slow and most off ppl have the required str/dex for the weapon but lack the skill to be able to wear the weapon maybe it cud do with being just a tad quicker? This is how I always remembered it to be fair. The only weapon were this wasn't the case was Apus bow. It all depends on what you hunt when and how much you use your secondairy weapon. I'm afraid you'll have to find a way to cope with it or hunt mobs that give less stats per skill than your current mob.

It does beg the question, what is the point of buffing bone golums and LB if the weapon skill side of the game does not benefit? I mean the changes to BG are a god send and it makes conti and hunting worthwhile. I still would like to see the str and dex requirements of weapons the same but just lower the skill requirements back down to esoma values.

I see what you mean and what you're going for, but I would guess this wouldn't go down with those who already have the weapons and then I do think the problem would turn around - you'd have too much skill (which caps anyawy) compared to stats. It's a tricky subject.

Its perfectly fine as it is, people ending up with 150 bow skill before apus, same for HOM ripper ruby spear ect, you will get the stat req before the skill req.

"SHATTERSTAR""PATHOLOGIST"Its fine. I also think skill gains are fine. Try not to let other people ruin your fun! Those people with 2 4ths and SR most likely have 1000+ hours clocked. You can't compete with that! I have just over 300 hours and have close to 140 Knuckle Skill. I played quite a lot to start, but I entered full casual mode a couple of months ago and I'm still keeping up (Rested XP too good). Also, I was using my 67 skill Knuckle from Level 31 to 58 because I couldn't find any better 93 skill knuckles (so I waited till I got to 121 skill for my final weapon XD). Either way, skill will cap WAY before your level does. I'll have 200 skill by the time I've clocked 600 hours I think (most likely sooner). Don't let the higher levels ruin your fun.
