This has happened to me a few times...I'm let's say running to the graveyard and all of a sudden I'm not running there anymore but rather my char is running aimlessly, over walls, objects, run right through things...and the x,y is in the minus -... and then all of a sudden i'm back where I started ? It's not really a bother because I don't get hit by anything, but find it so strange...

Yeah, the client will keep moving (so that client has an instant response to movement to make it feel smooth) but server hasn't received any updates so you can end up getting teleported back to the last known position on the server because you passed through a tile that cannot move to (an npc was there or w/e).
