Some general dsoma leveling questions

Hey guys,

I;'ve not played dsoma since esoma days, and while I absolutely all the quality of life tweaks and improvements in the game...it's left me feeling a bit confused about leveling. So if it's not a problem, can I ask a few questions, and if anyone has info - any reply is appreciated.

1. Punching - what does this do now? It used to just boost int/wis, but I heard something about it giving you reversed stat gains for main stats (archers gain STR>DEX and axers DEX>STR etc?). If so, when should I do it?

2. Tagged weps and armour - wearing good tagged gear means I can do mobs waay earlier than I 'should be', does that in any way ruin my leveling? Like getting empty/wasted exp or something. Should I always go to the hardest mobs I can handle, or should I stick with fast and easy % on the 'appropriate' mobs?

3.Stat caps and reaching them - Related to the last question. Are there any hard caps, or slowdowns that are effectively caps? How do these vary between classes. Am I going to cap out dex before the level cap as an archer? And what should I do if that happens.

4. What's the general mob progression. Used to be Hopper->AB->GF->WBM, but now it's Hopper->AB->EB->???

5. What's going on with death drops? Had quite a few deaths-warps to d/cs and not dropped anything. Is there a level cap on that now, or you only lose items in pvp deaths?

1. Punching still gives int/wis, but this is getting removed in newt big patch. We getting 7 points to spend on lvl up in any stat.

2.tagged gear means better def/att hardened>rare>epic>intense>legendary. You can combine 2 same tags for a chance on a better tag.
Taking on higher mobs wont ruin your stats, even better if u hunt +30 or +50 str mobs your gains will be higher.

3. Dont worry about it. If patch gets released you can chose your own stat gains.

4. Its like hopper, ab, tarkhs, kharil lizard, wbm, demented warthog, apai

5. You wont lose gear if u warp to town if a mob kills you (its like a free tp). But u do lose gear if u get pked and warp.

Thanks so much for the info!

Really helps settle some questions, you never wanna ruin your char by leveling 'badly', and there's a ton of great changes I didn't find a summary of.

has any1 tried lvling on Elite Gargoyle Fighters as melee alternative to Kharil Fighters? whats ur thoughts?

Stat wise, there better than kl, as they have a lot more str

Exp wise, they give a lot less exp, there dex is a lot higher than a Kl, so lvling will be slow
