Hi Guys,

I have recently returned to the game after some absence and wanted some advice on how to gear up for hunting in the next short while. I am at 93 str 91 dex and have been mostly pure bow, with a bit of spear for fun. I'm at 150 bow skill 150 staff skill and the rest in spear. I know that I'm supposed to be hunting hoarde shanis but I have trouble tanking several of them at once at my current str/dex which slows me down. I wear hero boots, hero pads (at +2, so +4 dex) and hero helm, and a 4% eva shadow top, plus two RoFs and an orion eye. The bow I use is a speed A Apus. My main question is: Should I be looking for Eva gear or Accuracy gear at my current stats? Which part of my current setup should i focus on replacing the soonest? What is the conventional wisdom? I have some time to gear up before I'll be back at hoarde, I'm currently doing int at nightmares so am rich in Frogs to try some upgades.

1 at a time is pretty much thhe norm for hunting mobs that much stronger than you, anyway i'd make some evasion armour that will significantly lower damage and/or use a pocket healer.

Hey mate, I personally would try and make a 3% evasion helm. It'll help you take extra mobs on without needing to heal as often. That will in turn outweigh the time lost on missing mobs. Also if you can try and buy a war beast stud and orc tribe medallion, these are both att + accessories which will help you kill things quicker :)

Also if you can dual client and have a level 30+ spare char you can make a healer which lets you use acc armor as it doesn't matter if you get hurt.

be glad you are bow and can try take them one at a time ... focus on eva gear and dex access .. this is what will keep you alive with bow

If you're at hoarde, just stand on the slopes, means only can hit you at a time.
The general idea is wear Eva. So get yourself a Eva helm is my suggestion.

That said keep an eye out for accuracy gear (top at least as a lot of people just wear titas pads for the extra attack damage).

I found I rarely wear my eva at the moment as I'm still st hoarde (they have the same stat gains as blg until 125 str). So with a bow, using dodge I'm tending to just use 3%acc pads, top and 5% acc hero helm. Though still wearing Eva boots. Currently 108 dex and 118 str if that helps at all

what an idiotic thing to put on here, not only are you suggesting to cheat (sarcasm or not some people would take it literal) you are also advertising where to get stuff (if it is where you get stuff) please for the sake ov everyone change your comment and i will change mine.

Was simply a message passed on from another... and yes it was sarcastic... unfortunately it is the sad truth tho, half the server have bought gear from others and it has ruined a game that i once loved!! (The name I mentioned has been banned so it was a joke) Unfortunately the right actions have not been taken towards this kind of thing no fault of Isylver or finito as I think the work they have done towards this game is great, just certain situations could have been dealt with in a better way and since ghostlord is in charge or bans etc I think this possibly falls on him.. I'm not blaming him specifically as it's the players that have ruined things, just that things have got out of hand and as it stands ATM I have no intention of playing at the moment.. so yea think what you want pal

We dealt with that case as a team. 'Fault' either falls on all of us or none of us.

If you feel like it should've been handled differently, at best you can send me a pm with your thoughts. However, let's keep it out of this thread.

As for gearing up, I'm a simple man in this regard. Take your mobs one by one and you don't even need any upgrades or hero with the proper stats.
