I have been having a little read through forum while doing con and noticed a few posts in regards to the state of the end game and pvp build options available.
I was thinking an option that could be made available to hsoma is an end game "role" option, similar to dsoma but at lvl 100 you can choose to specialise in a weapon. To become a specialist in that weapon you select said weapon sword, axe, bow etc and then start a special quest only available at lvl 100. Activating the quest allows that weapon to reach beyond skill 200 and end goal is too reach skill 300 (so you are truly a master in that weapon only) upon completing said quest (should be very long and difficult and slow in my opinion but that's another post) you could earn a specilist weapon only for that class for example, an axe which req 300 skill and 150 str or something. The axe would be a very powerful melee weapon, also to be attained through farming of a special mob (or something like that) could be armour sets, using axe as our example it could be a "tank" set of armour which add's significant hp bonus on each part for example (I dunno I didn't think that far ahead). Some sets could be made more desirable than others to try and pull people away from a certain trend happening right now, just making melee a viable option, or just making a certain play style available to people if they wish to play that class or role, such as tank, mage, ranged, melee dps. Just a passing thought would love peoples opinion of whether it would work or not.

I also think this would be good to give some of the capped players something to do instead of just pvp constantly, you could also make the quest tie in with events such as WotW and SS meaning higher lvl players are attracted to come participate.
It also gives us lower lvls something to aim for, a route to take in our stats, we can say "I like the look of that weapon" or "the stats on that armour is how I wanna play" and gives us something to aim for.

umm good ideas.. tho tbh.. most capped players that still play are farming mags etc trying to improve their gear.. ( been no pk all week.. yet usercount hasnt suffered.. plenty of capped players been around)
''Endgame'' is a phrase i dont want to hear ''More game'' and cap+ please x

Yeah I totally agree, more game not end game, I love farming gear which is why I quite like more options for things to farm while waiting for more content to be added. Just increases options all around for people really, certain ways to play etc gives more reason for people to attend events such as wotw etc.
Can you think of any reasons why something like this wouldn't work? Or wouldn't appeal to people? Constructive criticism is always the best.

well..just my opinion..what u suggest might be an idea for ''endgame ''
But update stuff being worked on by gm's There's no shortage of things to farm and improve when ur lev 100 atm. Great weapons to find.. or upgrade.. and the benefits of hsoma is that depending on what u find/ make/ upgrade and ur stats .. u can swap and change around willy nilly to suit urself. Humies have less stats , but we have the advantage of being able to swap our weps and the way we play. Personally wouldnt like to see that changed atm with chosing a particular weapon like dsoma

Ohhh yeah I should say, it should still be flexible, able to pick and choose whichever weapon you like any time and start the quest for that weapon, you shouldn't be stuck into one weapon once you choose, should have said that. I think it just might mix pvp up a bit in terms of people just focusing on bow, teams and guilds might focus around having a tank char with archer support and a hard hitting sword/spear or something.

There's a decent choice of tactics atm .. range = archers/ mages.. close up damage with swordies/ spear and axers.
main problem seems to be lack of guilds participating in gvw's.. tho thats understandable with 2 guilds mainly dominating things and some intimidation by one of them. Theres 1 or 2 bigger guilds that never participate in gvw ..not sure why that is. mayb some of those guys could group together and make their own guild. Soma is here for us.... its up to us the players to make it work. Im sure the bigger guilds would show some '' gamesmanship'' and give any new guilds a chance with gvw's and not just go around flexing their muscles. Gm's make the game run for us to play.. It's up to the players how the game is played and how it progresses. Can't expect the gms to fix everything when a few players for whatever reason or method go round trying to ruin things for the rest of us. Most ppl enjoy their time here...but a few divs go round trying to spoil things.

from my point of view on gvw and wow I'm not quite strong enough to compete devs kill me quite quick and I'm lvl 91 so I get why some players struggle to join in. And well like u have stated its mainly between two guilds so people and other guilds just don't bother to much any more. Gm's do a brilliant job I think its just planning for a future plane for the game because I can see a lot of players are around my lvl area and later people will be left with the options crafting items, GVW, WOW and quest (correct me if I miss anything please) and please don't think I'm slating the game in any way because that is not the case.

Lets be honest the real ideal is 4x new maps cap raised to 200 and esoma rates, double the crafting cap in a single to 400, no str cap you finish where you finish, only rested you can gain is through hunting via potions with a drop rate the same as evil rider essence and nerf upgrades/bows (slightly).
who needs a wipe when you can extend the game for that long at esoma rates it would take a hell of a long time to reach the new cap, bring Hsoma new gear more inline with dsoma, abolish swift spirits, lower drops rates on mags as they get stronger other wise people will farm them like no tommorow when they can kill in no time. Simple stuff really and longevity would be there.

Would love to see a dual race map, release it to humans first so they gain an advantage then open up to devs at a later date.

veigars idea sounds good.. but4 x new maps with new mobs sounds like big work for Fin.
New mobs already designed for 100-110. Slow esoma rates sounds about right .. gives time for new lev cap+'s and mobs to be introduced at each update. Better for ppl to play.. or not to play to get stronger rather than some ppl who hardly play atm seem to be accumulating mega gear with 0 hours played and still dominating the game with op gear. Playtime and progression thro stats and levels gained ( as well as gear) would be greatly appreciated by most ppl
