I can solo shiro at about 70k per kill. I do 1 dmg or close to that to the Hwan brothers. Hwan brothers can be cliffed by archers, they spawn much more frequently and you can have up to 6 spawn at a time... not the same at all.

187 boss kills are not down to trace/archergods , he is easily top 1-3 active dsoma player, yes ofc trace makes it lazier, which he dies religiously on the map he is on , scorp can't be traced, king kob is virtually at gvw edge so no advantage there, blood akah is at wbm practically, grath is again easier for bow yes.
Not forgetting anyone can run to these spawns none are very far, or log lvl 1 alt at the spawns and check regularly. Damage is easier for swords with there auras, Fast attacks are easier for knuckle users , The above examples make last hits much easier, same as mages with weaken . And for the record me and 187 prob many others would trade trace/trace2 for any of others anytime. Sorry for the lecture but archer class always gets the finger pointed for almost all issues.

You can kill the hwan brothers without using a single pot, maybe it drops nothing, but whats worse, blowing 100K+++++ on pots or afking it and getting nothing. Soul bosses are archer bias also. This, is the point they are making, not that knuckle hits faster or sword hits harder.... 187 may be strong, but it shouldnt mean he can kill every hwan brother in 1 sitting without potting.

What they are saying is that archers are the boss killing class, and it shouldn't be like that for all of them.
You can kill the hwan brothers without using a single pot, maybe it drops nothing, but whats worse, blowing 100K+++++ on pots or afking it and getting nothing.
Soul bosses are archer bias also.
This, is the point they are making, not that knuckle hits faster or sword hits harder....

Bosses are supposed to be bosses, be it, rare to encounter (soul bosses) or difficult to kill (hwan brothers). At present, to the remoteness of the soul bosses, having trace is a distinct advantage over not having trace. To dispute this is folly, just check the boss kill list for who gets the soul bosses and with what frequency. Hwan brothers are an absolute joke. There's no "Others are better than me qq".
Bosses are supposed to be bosses, be it, rare to encounter (soul bosses) or difficult to kill (hwan brothers).

Making all the soul bosses untraceable would make our trace aura even more useless then they alrdy are(pve wise). Lets be honest even with the double drop rate chance the brothers chance to drop anything decent is prolly lower as shiro's. With EDW i dun even bother except for the conti one. But since there is no end game melee mob in conti i never even hunt in conti.
If you do intend to make the soul bosses untraceable i suggest the increase the soul drop rate a bit. 10 Grath kills without a single soul drop....

I've killed Shironim best part of 50 time and had a single epic (female serpent shield). However he spawns every 5hr30min-6hrs and costs close to 100k per kill. Hwan brothers spawn every 4 hours and you can kill up to 6 of them at a time, for FREE. Having the Soul Bosses untraceable doesn't make trace aura useless, it just allows non-archers an equal shot at finding them. Anyway, the effort:reward for the rings is far outweighed by the dropchance of souls (as you mentioned) so whether archers monopolise the soul bosses or not, makes no difference when the damn things don't drop anything. (I've the same experience with killing grath numerous times without a soul drop).

The Hwan brothers could possibly have a lower drop chance than Shironim as individual bosses.

This isn't a contest on what class is better than what.
This is an idea in the suggestion forum and i would prefer you all to stop derailing the thread as it makes Isylver not bother considering it when every idea is just full of qq's. My idea is to reward individuals by accumulating x amount of soul tokens then you trade an npc for a soul gem that on right clicking does the /revivemon command or whatever it is. This means people can run to the playfield the soul boss spawns in and spawn it at the location the gem is used.

Eh, I've got a level 21 archer and 68 spear I've not re rolled archer as a main. Unless you're referring to naiko on cawk?
If there's an issue with archer then make a thread. You know Dans logic better than anyone's and as soon as there's a long bitchy thread that idea gets rubbished and the true nature of a suggestion he's forgotten. I firmly believe my idea generates the RNG mechanic of soma as souls are still like 12.5% drop chance, it gives levelling a little bit more to look forward to and they will still be 'hard' to acquire. This requires little implementation as it would be the Christmas event with 4 rewards heck even make them random as well which you get. You find 20 soul tokens, (presents) Take them to soul npc (buddy) he rewards you with a random 'soul gem' Take the soul gem to its appropriate playfield and right click it. The only thing that would need implementing is 4 new database items for each boss Soul gem of blood akah which on right click uses a /revivemon blood akah command
