As a axer i cant shoot whelps now.
Also the "nerf" of stats compared to live server already making us weaker. Now we cant use a t bow we cant even range a mage wich can light arrow us from offscreen.

Melee classes should be able to use a t bow. also i made this baby specialy for my axer :(

Also how can a melee hit a boss mob if its surrounded? it happens now already that archers block melee from hitting a boss mob so they cant last hit.

As much as I'd love for melee devs not to be able to equip a bow of any req it does seem very unfair. When it comes to bosses that's part and parcel of being a melee range 1 class I guess.

More to the point, how does a range1 class deal with magma hunting :o bow is needed for the whelps

Edit: IDEA TIME!

Whelps need a short delay, 1.5-2seconds when they reach you (rather than insta-kill) Perhaps they could turn red, redder and redder until explosion, giving range1 a short period to notice/dispatch them. Visual indicator just to look cool.

+1 I have often thought this, to be fair even with a bow in invent if you're already hitting a mag there isn't often enough time to switch if it spawns near you
Even a half second delay would be good, makes them still dangerous and you have to be on the ball to do get them

This is a great idea, Flick, almost capped strength now and was going to reskill bow because of this, I don't really want to do bow but it's a must to hunt mags as a warrior! I think 1.5 seconds may be too long though.

Quite possibly too long, I measured my response time at 180ms, after reading your post. The average is nearer 400ms, so likely half a second would do for it, but it'd need to be tried out in-game and see how it works. perhaps somewhere between half and 3/4s of a second.

Was mainly a suggestion for D-soma, as they will no longer be able to equipt a bow, and are locked into their class weapon. Could be introduced to both worlds, though, ofc.

What's the point in adding this feature? Doesn't change the game at all if anything this causes more trouble with new fixes that weren't there? Time wasted imo.
