As we all know the user count on hsoma has taken abit of a dive lately. This has had a huge effect on the soma economy. Would it be possible to have drop rates increased every so slightly? My logic behind this is that currently not many people actively hunt blg which means there’s a lack of rubies in game. So surely making farming slightly more appealing will increase the flow of the economy and help boost things?
I would only suggest something like 2-5% increase overall. What do you guys think?

Regardless of what the rates might get upped by blood I’m asking if it’s a good idea or if I’m missing something.

Double drop weekend this weekend will be nice to test it. I would like better drop %. It's so hard to trade in HSOMA at the moment.
No one is trading anything anymore. |

If you think hsoma got it bad. Ruby market in dsoma is absolutely non existant atm. Basically have to go farm wbm urself if u want rubies. Annoying that mags dont drop them but can understand why.

As much as I agree with some of the points but if you change much now in terms of drops, you're kind of pissing on the people who have put the effort in with the lower rates in my opinion and it will just become easy soma, the game is already swarmed with crazy upgraded items etc etc...
You guys fail to realise that increasing the drops to fulfil your personal requirements of more items to use, will only have a harsh inflation of improved items, meaning the items you aspire for now will be worth less than they are now meaning they will become more common, you are your own enemy as it were. Things like the double drop weekend once every quarter or something would be ideal for the ingame economy but increasing drop rates full time is rip in my eyes

Sorry I didn’t make it clear, it was meant to be a temporary rise until the patch comes in and people start playing again. I completely agree that raising the drops rates does seem unfair but I’ve had to grind for two years with the same drop rates. I just thought with low users and some better drop rates it would help. When you’ve got 500 people playing the server then you’ll have a good varied variety of drops except there’s about 30 people playing with only a handful at say blg for rubies.

Ye agreed and my bad, I thought you wanted a full time increase. See how the double drop weekend goes and I think we'll all be able to make a better judgement on it :D

I would say no. If there is a shortage of rubies the price will go up and people will offer more for them and thats exactly how an economy works. Once the price becomes very appealing people will then go to blg to make money. Also its not hard to give up tab farming at magmas and come kill blg in 8 secs with capped stats and typical +5-6 sets.

I don't just mean rubies at blg mate, I mean across the board. Surely with slighty more items in game then people are more likely to farm and the economy will pick up? I mean if I want stingers now I have to hunt for them because it's so hard to buy them as prices are sky high, if there were more of them the price would drop? Or atleast make it viable for people with limited game time to get a chance of them dropping? Like I said, i'm only saying what I think could work.

It is a double edged sword really. While that's good for the players playing currently, it also means people with insane gear can try and make it better (which I am not overly against).
But the main issue this game has is players, and I don't know about everyone, but the people I know and speak to there are 2 issues and it's content and such an item advantage. This idea is good for short term/people playing currently. But much like magmas and combine, it will ruin the game long term.

Aye I'm not saying have it long term, just while theres a handful of active players hunting. Once cap comes in then people will return and take it away again ?
