In the interest of growing the userbase and keeping new members engaged. Is there a possibility of an event or two that are aimed for lower and mid levels. After 60+ hours logged in game and still very very...very far off being able to even slightly contribute in any of the events without being nuked by high levels in seconds.
Be it following the same style of existing events or even a new style altogether (i have many ideas but would like to see how popular idea is) but something aimed for lvl 20-29 30-39 and 40-49 could be very interesting and hook more new users for the long haul. Maybe a winner from each category wins a nice wep/item along with all the fame and glory of course.

There was a low level event a while back which seemed to be a one off (I was crafting since they said low level so i didnt go) But i was told a load of high lvls just turned up and killed everything anyway.
Could always do a soma trivia quiz or general knowledge (people just google anyway) which everyone has a somewhat equal chance of winning regardless of level instead of spawning a bunch of high level mobs every now and then.

1. Gladiator style fight night.
Using merc arena (would love to that busy again like the old days) Players or teams of players can sign up to battle opponents in 2v2 to 4v4 battles. Winner's of the battle could either win random nice items etc there and then or instead could accumalate points to chose rare stuff from an npc (SP and rested xp pots please) Could even make it possible for other players able to wager barr or anything they're prepared to gamble, on the outcomes to pull in the crowds or even just to provide entertainment at the meek peasents. 2. Scavenger hunting. All sign up, countdown begins, go. Killing mobs around merc to pick up certain (non-tradable) items, first player back with all on item list wins 1st prize n so forth. #if prizes were somehow sharable then people could still work as little teams to beat some of the stronger mobs 3. random spawn rushes on towns/mob bosses This i've seen done already but just pure luck if ever get the finish with min dam while dozens of high levels are blastering out shots. Maybe weaker mobs that lvl 4X+ cant see or cant fight etc These are just a few of the ideas I remember of the top of my head, will add more if they come back to me. (P.S number 1 is my fav :P )

Thinking about it, theres no reason fight night could'nt be open to all player, would just need some sort of bracket people would be able to enter in, i.e a bracket for every 8? levels. Thereby making an event not just theorhetically open to all but actually

We currently have 3 days of no scripted events
Would love to fill these days with scripted events Monster spawn - 2 different spawns locations level based each with few boss's Last man standing - PvP event using pandi arena, once dead warped out last person standing wins( could always split races onto different days also seen as arena is separated from town) Monster waves - new small map, waves of monsters spawned startin with low end mobs to top end for last wave, enter 5 mins before start then no entry till finished, see how far ppl can go could also add a few pos rewards into them also

"SWIFTKILLA" This sounds like it could be really fun, and would be able to include most players if implemented well

It would be nice to see an event or two aimed at lower-mid levels. As Fuji said, most of the special events for these people have been taken over.
WotW, GVW, SS are all "dominated" by the higher levels. I am not complaining. Soma has always been about a grind. And whoever invests more time = better. Thats why I still play WoW, cause I'll never have the time to be the "best" here. But something aimed at the low-average casual Soma player would be good. And will encourage people to stay. My ideas would be..... An SS event for characters under level 50, 55 or 60. The biggest criticism for WotW is it's only balanced for the level 70+ players. Rewards for this event could be extra % rested as Pos for a low level isn't very helpful. Bosses that are "easier to kill" spawn more regularly but their drops would be extra rested xp% but only for people under a certain level. Again, somewhere around level 55. This would mean lower levels can get involved, and the incentive would be being able to catch up quicker!

perhaps an event where a weak mob (1hp) spawns anywhere ingame that is untraceable and has a unique drop. This would cause a mass scouring of the maps to find it.

dont have any ideas myself but i do think we need more events for casual players if possible. i like the game but its hard to stay motivated when i dont have too much time to play, and i would like being able to be more active other than just grinding.
dont get me wrong though, i appreciate all the work put into the server by those who are keeping it going and realise theres a limit to how much they can be expected to do

Would it just not be better to add quests for lower levels that go with hunting, like collect 10 of X item(low drops) from Raptors/Trolls etc that you can choose a rare+ weapon of your choice etc.
Could even be kill 100 of said mob rather than collect 10 items from them. Also doesn't have to be a weapon could be a random chance of getting something like a DB/AT etc.
